“I hadn't heard of the Retirement Desk prior to my taking early retirement from work and needing some advice about my pension and an annuity. There is so much information out there and so many companies you can contact. I dealt with Kay Martin, who gave me clear information on all my options. Her calm professionalism made the transfer of my pension pot from one provider to another as easy as these things can be. She kept me fully informed at every stage, and worked hard on my behalf. She phoned when she said she would and chased up my money when she needed to. Friendly, hard-working and honest, as well as a free service to me. What more do you want?! Thank you so much”

“we have been very satisfied with the help we have received dealing with my husbands pension. But above all I must say a special thanks to Lisa o Brian, who has handled this brilliantly, always very pleasant and friendly on the phone and has also kept us up to date on all that was going on. Unfortunately Prudential were being very awkward on the transition, and seemed to lead Lisa merry dance. they dragged it on for far too long and also told lies about the money being sent when it clearly wasn't and this happened more than once, Lisa put in a complaint but unfortunately after getting the run around again I asked her to put in another, Lisa is an asset to your team .thank you mrs jeanette taylor”

“My experience with The Retirement Desk spans only 5/6 weeks during which time my only contact was with Wendy O’Bierne. With limited experience of current pension legislation and options available, I was initially looking to be guided as to what was possible with a defined contribution fund and to establish the market possibilities in relation to the sum involved. I was also ignorant of the processes and procedures. My first contact with Wendy put me immediately at ease as she took time to patiently explain the current law and drawdown options. It was recommended very early in the conversation that independent financial advice be taken and I was told how to advance that if required. Having advised Wendy how the pension should be taken forward, she then managed the process by forwarding the relevant paperwork quickly and orderly, following up each step with regular telephone contact to ensure that the process was constantly moving forward and was being understood. As a result, the pension drawdown from start to finish was quicker than I had anticipated and I was delighted with the outcome, both financially and procedurally. Wendy is clearly a very capable individual, exceptionally diligent with a focus both on professionalism and customer service and I would have no hesitation in recommending her and The Retirement Desk to family and friends. “Once I had made contact with the very polite person at the retirement desk office, I was made to feel at ease and important. I was informed of the procedures clearly and was kept up to date on the progress, via phone and email.
