they are asking evidences of preexisting health condition only when they have to assess your claim. at the time of the contract it looks they can provide everithing without issues and no need of providing your clinical records before the start of the contract. it looks a trap. I'm still under discussions with them for claims on medical visits and analysis following covid-19 with a premium level of insurance... orrible!!! .

Tried to get a quote but cannot access over 70 years of age. They obviously are not interested in insuring older people

Two claims made. One took multiple follows up to settle. The second they refused to pay citing a ‘pre existing injury’ even though they had previously paid out for the initial treatment (see above). I now know why it was the cheapest quote, won’t be renewing needless to say.

Increased my premium by 30.6 % after the 1st year. Incapable of providing a clear and transparent explanation.

The service I had from Recency was first class. I submitted the claim by e mail in the evening Vietnam time. I woke up to find an e mail to say it was approved & return mail confirming payment bank details. Next morning the full payment was in my account. Could not have had easier or better service than that!

number to cover the $7000 plus fee. I was contacted repeatedly by the broker stating the charge had been declined. Finally, I provided another credit card number and I was informed all was OK. I had a dental issue here in Panama which, based on the dentist here in Panama, required a tooth extraction. I submitted the receipt from the procedure as well as the claim form required by Regency. The reimbursement did not occur because Regency failed to use the account number I had submitted. My bank in Canada required me to contact Regency and request they use the same information I had already provided to Regency. Regency complied, and I was finally reimbursed the $80 USD. I approached a doctor here in Panama afterwards, I had pain in my groin. I have no family doctor here. The Dr examined me and determined I had a hernia, a large hernia he stated. I asked the same doctor about my inexplicable weight loss I had recently suffered (240 lbs to 170 lbs in 3 months), my mother died this year of cancer. I asked if there was a blood test that could confirm whether I had cancer or not. I was told that blood work would be inconclusive but rather an endoscopy and colonoscopy would be more conclusive. I submitted to all the procedures based on the Dr recommendations. When all the procedures were completed, I submitted the same receipts and claim forms as I had done for my dental procedure. I immediately got push back. There was more information suddenly required. I submitted more and more documentation. Not enough so Regency contacted my doctor, he did not repy to their emails. I was told the claim could not proceed. In Panama, at that time there were political demonstrations. I was told to garner the information myself so I attempted to get whatever was requested. I spent hours in traffic blockades in order to accommodate Regency to no avail. At no point, even to date, have I ever been informed of what the root cause of Regency's concerns are, what is it exactly that you are looking for or what the actual concern might be? Did I not have a hernia? Did I not undergo surgery? Did I not have a colonoscopy or endoscopy??? I have given up, I am running around Panama investigating, on your behalf, claims I submitted to Regency exactly like the dental claim I have already submitted.I am a customer, your business is medical insurance. I have been asked repeatedly how Regency can make this matter better. Wow. Simple, provide the service I have paid for. I tried to cancel my policy in an attempt to recover my losses. Not possible because I have exhausted the "cooling off period", wow. I was contacted by Maria Cassidy from Regency, she requested my phone number to have a telephone conversation to discuss said issues. I provided the information requested yet she did not call me. 2 days later I contacted her again saying she had misled me and that I did not want to hear from her moving forward. No reply. Next day, Maria says she will call me at 8 PM Panamanian time, not business hours for anyone. I again asked her not to contact me again. I remind the reader that I am a customer, a client of this business. This is not acceptable on any level. " Richard James, my broker, states he needs to understand "how he can help". Maria Cssidy from Regency insurance stated "reslove any outstanding issues".I am at at a loss, you provide a product, one product, insurance. How can you help me? Honour your one product, period. I purchased the most comprehensive package available to avoid this very situation. Now, I am afraid to ever walk into a hospital or medical clinic again anywhere in the world..

I am looking for insurance. I read all their ways to not pay. Lawyers did a good job. In the pdf I saw nothing that said you pay this and get this. It was all about protecting them. Red flag one. Reading the 5 star reviews, I am sure they are fake. They all sound the same vs the pain in the words of those who were not cared for. There is a 5% chance I would go with this company. I called the 2 Bangkok phone numbers. 21054284 / 5, I also put 66 in front of the numbers. I called from my Thai phone. "This phone number does not exist". Wow. Researching others.

The review about regency is either 5stars or 1, obviously shows the 5star rating is suspicious. you want to know the truth about this company, you should start to read the 1 star review first. I live in Thailand and I bought their insurance covered major medical , I had scooter accident and claim for my hospital operation fees. My international driving license shows black and white that I can drive car and scooter, and I get part of the compensation back very fast from Road Accident Victims Protection Company. The local insurance you get when rent a scooter here. but regency refused to pay back and says this claim does not fit into their approved claim system, despite I showed my international driving license. - [ ] I decide to use the legal way to settle this case. And asked their office address in Bangkok. One stuff named Rosie said here is an physical office in Bangkok but she can’t give me the address. And another stuff named Maria later said there is no office in Bangkok. What kind of company is that have stuff lying like this. I send my conversation with Rosie to Maria that Rosie clearly said here in Bangkok have a office but Maria still trying to find excuses which the answer doesn’t make any sense. - [ ] I checked regency only registered in Nevis, an off shore taxes free place. They can’t even tell you a physical address, when there is a dispute, you can’t even talk to them face to face. I’m not going to give up on this and if you want to buy insurance from this company, please read my story as a reference!!

Do not trust this company. They will not refund your medical treatment and doctor visits. They charge almost 20x more than an regular insurancecompany and just will make a reason not to refund your money.

I am so disappointed in Regency for Expats Insurance. My Doctor discovered that I had a hernia that required surgery. After sending in all of the required documentation they have been stalling and delaying any action for over 2 weeks now. Meanwhile, I am in pain and totally have lose faith in their "promises" of prompt service prior to signing up with them. My suggestion is to avoid Regency for Expats at all costs.

READ THE CHRONIC CONDITIONS EXCLUSION They can literally deny any claim for any ongoing medical treatment as it is "chronic condition". They are based in NEVIS. A volcano island with 11,000 people known for tax evasion and money laundering. Why would they be based there? So you can't do anything about it when they deny your claim. They approve small claims, deny large claims or just stop communicating all together. What are you going to do if they don't return your email? Go to their office? Good luck finding an address. Post fake reviews (notice they are 1 star or 5 star) to drown out the truth. NowCompare is part of it. They cherry pick expensive plans to compare to. Do a comparison yourself with quote from individual reputable companies. It's not any cheaper!!!
