“4mm brad tip drills were useless. Sharpened at an angle so they would not cut, have had to throw them away. Buy cheap, pay twice........”

“I recently bought two sets of drills one set of mm drills up to 12mm. They are ok. A set of masonry drills are useless, after drilling two holes a standard brick they were worn out. I had to buy new ones locally to complete the job.. Cyril Hines”

“Not that impressed. Purchased Tin coated 1 - 13mm set and to be honest some are very reluctant to drill even aluminium or plastic. I've used old Dormer drill all my life and will have to save up to buy some more of those. These UK Drills are not even as good as the disposable company jobber drills used on our shop floor. The good thing is I now have a metal case to gradually fill with proper drills as I acquire them.”

“I was surprised at how poor quality they were. I was going to complain but decided that at that price I should have known better. The blade was thinner than others I have and wouldn’t cut”

“Does anyone in UK drills ever carry out quality audits on their twist drill shipments from China ? In my recent order ( #000050982) three sizes of drill, 0.8/0.9 and 1.8 diam. just make a mark on the surface of the brass sheet - no hole? What is the point of selling blunt pieces of wire ? I called your company the day after delivery, made a complaint and the lady said that she would send out higher grade replacements, still awaiting them. Your product might be cheap but your quality is non-existent”

“The drill were not high speed steel. The cutting edges were curved instead of straight so they didn't cause the swarf to curve away but tended to clog the cutting edge. The smaller drill were not even straight and using a hand drill were all woobly. My very old HSS and blunt drills were better than these. UK drill had the decency to refund me when I returned them. That at least gained them points for honesty.”

“The 10mm brad bit drill x 120mm long I ordered was delivered as 10 No. 10mm bradpoint drills x 70mm long. The edges of these drill were so soft they dulled after drilling into white oak by 5mm! Not very good quality at all.”

“on the 15th of September I received a substantial order of assorted drill bits but one of the items was faulty so I had to contact them. They were initially very courteous about this and agreed to send me a replacement item but it is almost 7 weeks later now and this item has still not arrived. I have tried twice to contact them about this through their websites "contact us" option but they have not even acknowledged my attempt to contact them on this matter so have no idea of what is happening about this issue. This will be the last time I use this company as up to now they have always been reliable with their delivery and exceptionally decent with their prices but if this is a sign of things to come I would rather go elsewhere in the future.”

“I used UK drills online chat to select a drill bit. The advice given was incorrect and cost me money. I reported this to UK drills and they were rather inapologetic.”

“I bought a titanium drill set 1.5-13mm. The 13mm was blunt to look at and the rest were not much better. They are now taking room up in the workshop collecting dust. Don’t bother wasting your money.”

“The masonry drill bits I ordered where poor quality. I was drilling into brick and progress through the material was slow and difficult. After the first hole, the drill bit was blunt and could not be used again. I found another unused masonry drill bit in my tool box that I used to drill through the same material with greater ease, and without the drill bit getting noticeably blunt.”

“Brought several wood boring bits from 10 to 16mm diameter. None of them cut the timber properly. The 12mm was bent and rotated all over the place. I tried to sharpen some which helped a bit. Resorted to buying a complete new set of wood boring bit from a repeatable supplier. ALL cut timber like butter. All were dead straight. It’s the first and last time I will use UK Drills. Try them out yourselves, you don’t need to listen to me.”
