“Drill bits have mainly snapped very quickly Price was good”

Standard HSS drill bits ordered. We can't comment as we do not know what material the customer was drilling.

“Ordered a range of HSS drill bits, a large number of them have significant burrs on the cutting edge or are bent straight from the factory. Spend a bit more money somewhere else and you’ll get much better tools.”

“Recent purhase of SDS bits very disappointing. Reasonably cheap to buy but tips break easily making them expensive compared to a dearer but more durable option.”

“Bulk drill pack ordered, v fast delivery, but unfortunately not terribly impressed with quality of the drill bits supplied, already broken 2 simply drilling into timber (not even small diameter bits) Seem to be too brittle, poor quality steel. Probably won't buy again”

“So far good quality steel. Only issue is that the width stated is only the tip, the shaft is much slimmer so it doesn't allow the grooves to pull the dust out. For that reason I wouldn't buy from UK Drills again unfortunately”

“I thought I would try this company to buy the small sizes of drills as I thought the price was good, but.... The drills arrived quickly, but they are not very good... they are not very straight, and the ones that are straight are not sharp enough to drill butter!!! So a total waste of money!!!”

“The drill bits were good value the screw bits were appalling not one of the straight heads were straight and the PZ2 bits shattered almost immediately.”

“I ordered 4 sizes of very small twist drills. These ranged from 0.6mm to 0.9mm, the smallist 2 sizes were unusable whilst the other 2 sizes were very poor quality. I rang UK Drills & reported the problem. They stated immedialely that they were sorry & would send replacements by 1st class post & these would be of a better quality. The replacements were very much better & I am now a happy customer. My only worry is how do I order the better quality drills if I should require a different size in the future.”

“The auger bits were cheap but not cheerful. They were delivered quickly and well packaged but had very poorly formed cutting edges and improperly threaded lead screw. I made them just about serviceable with a file. I would have returned them but needed to use them immediately. They are cheap for a reason. Beware.”

“14mm concrete drill bits for making holes for splitting various soft to hard stones for disposal with 9/16" feather/wedge tools. I didn't try them on concrete. The fit between the holes and the feather/wedge tools needs to be precise or the tools can't gain purchase on the stone. The bits from UK Drills were 1/2 the price of DeWalt Extreme 2s and were fine on sandstone. Sadly, the tip "wings" that provide the 14mm hole diameter wore away on any harder stone so the splitting tools couldn't be inserted far enough. Verdict: not all masonry drill bits are created equal.”

“Unfortunately I paid the extra for next day delivery and the actual delivery of a few small Taps arrived the following week. UK drills were very quick to respond and communicated very efficiently with me. And arranged a new delivery using a better shipping company. In essence UK drills were very good with their direct and personal communication and resolution. Unfortunately the shipping company they used at the time seemed to lie about the delivery and the reasons they didn’t honour their main job. UK Drills - Good 👍 Their Chosen delivery company at that time - Bad👎”

“Ordered 10mm & 12mm tap sets with a tap wrench . The service and delivery were good but I am disappointed with the quality of the wrench , it is not strong enough to cope with the 12mm tap.”

“individual hss drill bits were extremely poor and would not drill through aluminium yet alone steel or any other soft metals. The drill box containing hss drill bits are very good value for money.”
