“The masonry drill bits I ordered where poor quality. I was drilling into brick and progress through the material was slow and difficult. After the first hole, the drill bit was blunt and could not be used again. I found another unused masonry drill bit in my tool box that I used to drill through the same material with greater ease, and without the drill bit getting noticeably blunt.”

“Brought several wood boring bits from 10 to 16mm diameter. None of them cut the timber properly. The 12mm was bent and rotated all over the place. I tried to sharpen some which helped a bit. Resorted to buying a complete new set of wood boring bit from a repeatable supplier. ALL cut timber like butter. All were dead straight. It’s the first and last time I will use UK Drills. Try them out yourselves, you don’t need to listen to me.”

“I ordered a 172mm core drill, prior to ordering I checked to see if my standard adapter would fit, I was told it would. When I went to use the drill on a job the adapter would not fit, so, after consulting with your "experts" I had to order one of your unique adapters. Due to the urgency I paid £5.50 for nxt day delivery. The adapter arrived and fitted the drill, but my standard pilot drill would not fit your adapter, so, after consulting with your "experts" I had to order one of your unique pilots. Due to the urgency I paid £3.30 for nxt day delivery. The taper pilot then kept coming loose and falling out during the drilling operations. Altogether a frustrating expensive not to be repeated experience, why the hell cant you make clear the unique nature of your products.”

“I bought some lip and spur drillbits and a large forstner bit. The drillbits are just about usable but very low quality. The forstner bit is completely useless and will not make a decent hole. It chatters and wonders from side to side even when using in a pillar drill this bit is shockingly bad.”

“Asked for a diamond core cutter to cut Indian sandstone. Once tried using wasn’t good and by then missed 7 days return. Will not use again”

“Tried to drill into mild steel and it broke the bonding of the tungsten to the steel of on first hole. Tungsten is actually cracked it is so badly made. Very expensive item for poor quality”

“I ordered a couples of items from this company that had free postage but I had paid for next day delivery but not realising that ordered before or weekend then I paid extra for nothing. I rang to speak to customer services and got a very non understanding you should have read the small print attitude and no refund of postage. Wont buy from these again.”

“The flat bits are very thin and twist I got a few holes done and had to throw them away I won’t be buying them again disappointing”

“I was expecting a lot more from the drills, they wouldn't go through the paving slabs so I had to go to Scewfix for some drills that worked. Too much hassle to complain and send them back.”

“Very disappointing service this time. Have used UK Drills regularly in the past and been very pleased. Received some very undersize drill bits. Telephoned to raise issue and was promised warehouse would check and send replacements. Heard nothing, no email to confirm replacements on their way. Rang again after a week or so, and was told no record of my initial request but told again warehouse would send replacement...no contact, no email to confirm..so yes, still waiting...….”
