“Communication beforehand was excellent, arrived on time. Lewis was an absolute star, interacting with all children, spending time with each of them, keeping them engaged and gave reminders for how much time was left so the children had plenty of warning. When one of the littlest ones got frustrated and had a meltdown, Lewis was quick to act and turned the frown into a smile in no time at all! He even joined in with the cha cha slide and ymca! (Requests made by the kids) I cannot recommend highly enough, and if you happen to get Lewis, you are in for a very easy and seamless party! All the children were raving to their parents and other children the next day at school about the epic racing battles, and a few have requested business cards. Even my introverted socially awkward teenage son got involved and had a great time! Thank you pop up arcade for a great time, and thanks to Lewis for being incredible and for going above and beyond”

“We booked the girls VR party for 6 players, along with the pop-up tent. The booking process was a pain; I was unable to book what I wanted online and had to phone. During this, and many subsequent calls and emails, I received conflicting information regarding the space needed and number of players I could have. Eventually it was agreed we'd have a 6x3m tent for 6 players yet I had to keep checking this was correct as the info repeatedly emailed through said 4 players plus 2 extra OR a tent. I also ordered 6 party bags, as part of the package, with all 8 items available yet the order was put through as 5 bags with half the content. This was rectified one week before but still, it was added stress. I didn't ever feel complete confidence in what we'd get on the day. When the host arrived, he said he'd been given a 7x3m tent as it had been assumed that their square tent (?!) wouldn't have fitted in our garden?!! None of this was ever discussed with us. Thankfully we we were able to accomodate the 7x3m tent. It was a beautifully sunny day and apparently, had we had the square tent - which we didn't know anything about - the equipment wouldn't have worked in such conditions! The players struggled enough in the tent we did have, with one of my guests getting upset because her VR set wasn't working due to the sun! We were never warned this could be the case. It felt a bit shambolic from booking through to playing, to the point that I asked the host if Pop Up Arcade were a new company. Additionally leading up to the party, we received an email saying "About a week before your party, you'll get a package from us with the... Pick and Mix for the party. Your host will bring the Pick and Mix jars and table with them on the day and will set everything up once they arrive". On the day, we asked our host if he wanted the pick n mix we'd been sent, and were told 'most parents just put them in a bowl and hand them out'. Ok.... Overall, the party was a success and everyone had fun but honestly, this was really just testment to the lovely group of girls we had playing, rather than anything Pop Up Arcade specifically did.”

“The company were really easy to deal with from day one. All the booking was done with minimal fuss . We had a few changes but they were dealt with professionally and efficiently. Kris was our host and he was excellent. Included all the kids and really helped with all the games etc. Very happy customers.”

“Brilliant, fabulous, best and easiest kids party ever. Connor was a fantastic host, my son and his friends had a great 13th birthday party, we could just sit back and relax while they had the most fun ever. Highly recommended, thank you”

“While the setup was fast and the guy in charge was friendly, there were some significant issues that affected the overall experience. When I asked if he could set up Fortnite for the kids, he mentioned having 2 screens and 4 controllers available for that particular game. However, only 1 screen and a single controller ended up working. This was a huge letdown for the kids as they started taking turns to play, one person at a time, while others were playing FIFA and Minecraft. Despite the guy's attempts to fix the problem, it was not resolved. It was mentioned that some updates were needed, which should have been taken care of before the party. Additionally, some controllers for other games also didn't work, adding to the frustration. The Light Up X-Rocker Gaming Seat was not working or set up properly. About 15 minutes before the party was supposed to end, the kids lost interest. The VR experience mentioned on the website was not provided, although we did not inquire about it specifically. On a positive note, the sweets and magazines arrived on time, and the setup was quick. Based on my experience, I would not recommend. However, I can imagine that if the tech side of things was flawless and the guy in charge engaged more with the kids, it could have been a fantastic party. I would suggest ensuring better preparation and customer engagement for future events to enhance the overall experience.”

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. We do extensive maintenance on our kits each week, and our hosts each take personal responsibility for their equipment. We are very careful about who we hire and provide extensive training to all our hosts. Sadly, your host on the day wasn't up to the standards we require of our people and left the company. We ask parents to trust us to help them create wonderful memories for their children. This isn't something we take lightly, and I'm deeply sorry we let you down. We'll reach out to you directly to see what we can do to make this right for you and your son.

“The Gaming event at our LGBTQ+ youth club was absolutely fantastic - our members had a brilliant time! We’ve never seen our members so engaged (and eerily quiet!!) The not-for-profit initiative that Pop Up Arcade provide is truly wonderful, we would not have been able to afford the event without this support. THANK YOU!”

“James was fantastic. Turned up in plenty of time to set up. We booked the tent which was perfect for the garden. He kept the children entertained for the whole 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable of all the games and helped the boys learn new skills. Perfect for a 10th birthday party. The boys absolutely loved it. Thank you.”

“Great party with Pop Up Arcade. Mike was amazing, extremely friendly and so great with the children. We were so lucky to have him host the party. He made the atmosphere so relaxed and welcoming, yet commanded the room very well. Generous amount of candy and Video Game Magazines provided for the party and communication was smooth throughout the process via email and text. Highly recommend Pop Up Arcade!”

“We had a great party with Jordan. It was incredible. There was one 5 year old and 15 13/14 year olds. They all had a blast. The party was a huge success. Jordan was incredible. He helped before and after with setting up and clearing up and also did his own set up etc really quickly so no one was left waiting around. Highly recommend.”

“Pop Up Arcade held a session in our youth club and our young people would like to leave some comments about the session: 'They liked that they were all able to play at once' '10/10- would do it again' 'it was amazing!' They liked that they got to play with their friends from FUSE They liked the VR headsets since they do not get many opportunities to use those. They would like to do this again in the future They liked that they were all able to get their turn and they did not have to argue about who gets to go first They liked the set up because the pillows were very comfortable.”

“Excellent party for 10 year old son and 9 friends. Good choice of games and the games master is an absolute necessity as Nico kept the boys in check and ensured they had a great time. They supply magazines and sweets to keep all entertained which is excellent for party bags. Would highly recommend”

“Well what can we say?? We had a Pop Up Arcade for our grandsons 9th birthday this afternoon and we couldn't have wished for better. Absolutely 5***** service throughout from the time they arrived, to setting up, to helping with the party, to packing away. The smile on our grandsons face just said it all. He was beaming from ear to ear. Thank you for making his day. All the extra touches just made it the day shine. We will definitely be recommending you and using you again in the future.
