I would rather pay a bit more even if that means I consume less meat weekly, but be assured of the quality. Better for us, the animals and the farmer. “Been shopping with Pipers Farm for over 30 years now. The meat is always excellent (oh, and the fish pie mix, too). I made a pig's ear of my last order. Wanted breakfast sausages, chicken thighs, and a couple of burgers. I ended up with only burgers. Don't know what I did but must've clicked in the wrong place. Yes, very good burgers, but not something I want every time I cook meat. I do find the site a bit jumpy but should be used to it be now. (Oh, delivery arrived on time but driver didn't ring the bell - I just happened to find it on the doorstep) Love to Henri and Peter”

“5-star meat, 1-star customer service. I wanted some lamb fillets for a special dinner I had planned, and Pipers Farm had a lovely option. I will say, we ate the lamb last night and it was lovely. The other cuts I got are similarly well-packaged and look fantastic quality. HOWEVER, I ordered in advance as my wife and I were going away for our anniversary, so I wanted to get the meat ordered before we left. Unlike most other online butchers, Pipers did not give me a delivery date option - it just immediately processed the order. This may have been my own fault, but I fired off an e-mail within 10 minutes asking them to confirm a delivery date. 2 days later, I received a shipment notification and I followed up AGAIN, asking for them to stop the delivery. I received a delivery notification the following day...I sent another e-mail, asking for a refund as the meat would be sitting outside. In the end, the wife and I cut our trip short to get home earlier to get the meat off the doorstep. 3 emails, all of which have been totally ignored by their customer services team, even a week later. Good meat means nothing if they refuse to speak with their customers.”
