no provision to outline the plan in red - a condition of the planning application

Hi Shaun, Thank you for your review, however there is 100% definitely an option to add a red line. You cannot order without seeing the preview of the map with 2 x buttons on the lower right side, one with a red pen on it and one with a blue pen. You just click once as instructed on one of these and click on the shape on the map you need to outline.

I bought a plan without a red line around the site and had to buy a second plan to correct this. I assumed a red line would be automatic given this is for planning purposes. It would be useful either to make this automatic or provide a prompt.

Hi Victoria, thanks for the feedback, however it's not possible for us to automatically outline property in red as every planning application is different and we do not know what you requiring planning for. No other supplier offers this feature either. Hope this helps.

The apparent new limitation on selecting a centre point for the plan has meant that I was unable to get the coverage I wanted even though it did fit on the size of plan I had chosen. Previously I have been very happy with BuyAPlan because of the speed of the process. Your advice to use eastings and northings did not make any difference as the plan still didn't centre properly.

The plan I purchased had no road names identified on the plan, and as a consequence was rejected by the local planning authority. I then had to manually amend your plan accordingly to identify the road names. This cost me a week in delay.

Thanks for the supply however local authorities do not need 2 x street names on the map as there is a grid reference below the map. In country areas there are often no street names visible.

You were on the Coventry planning web page as reliable, and drawings would be acceptable, the site plan only showed the outline of the school building not the site. If I did something wrong which I'm sure I went back afterwards and tried again then it was not very clear.

Very expensive for what it is. Also it wasn't clear how to get the two different types of map I needed - so took much longer than I was expecting.

Sorry to hear that. Our plans are lower in price than the vast majority of suppliers. In terms of time to order, we do have a help video and most customers can order in around 2 minutes but we're happy to hear if there are ways we can make it easier for you. Please let us know.

Web site promised it was fully approved but it turned out it was not and apparently it says this buried down in small print. If it's not, it should tell you up front. What a hassle it caused.

The plan is completely out of date. It hasn't got additions to properties that were added in the 1970s,

I bought a pair of maps of my property - a location plan, and a site plan - because my local authority's planning dept refused to consider my application without them. The plans I purchased were very poor; they were not only many years out of date (not reflecting changes in the area up to 10 years old) but also the location plan failed to show a sufficiently wide area to make finding the property feasible. In addition, the red outline applied around the property (another planning dept. requirement) carefully EXCLUDED any buildings on the site! When these plans were submitted they were rejected; it was not until they had been photocopied (in black & white) and a new red outline drawn on top, that my plans were finally deemed acceptable. Overall verdict: a waste of money, forced on me by Planning Dept. Regs!

The prices were misleading , didnt say plus Vat. The plan was out dated as our kitchen extension from about 6yrs ago didnt show on the new plans I brought.

Thanks for the feedback however it is not correct. We break out the VAT amount on the basket page, the pricing page, the checkout page and your receipt. Hope this clarifies for you. In terms of the date issue, the maps are provided by the Ordnance Survey so unfortunately they need to up date your area. We advise you mention this to your planning department to highlight this.

I was very disappointed with the plan as it so small. I thought it would cover at least an A4 size sheet. I have a plan from the Land Registry which was far better and certainly did not cost me £16.80. What good that plan is to the planning dept I have no idea. I can only imagine the reason they advertise your site is they must get good commission. It is daylight robbery. It’s very bad value as it has cost you next to nothing to send to me on-line. Anybody connected with this scheme I believe should be behind bars!! The only reason I didn’t give you a score of very poor was at least the plan is up to date. David Jones

This was for a change of use application. The street plan didn't even seperate the block into 3 different units as it is and so I had to actually design the plan myself as the one from buyaplan was rejected so that was a waste of £12

Not Happy at all. No Proper guideline.....I bought the plan assuming that I can modify it after paying. But realise that its not possible. Then I need to buy it again. Please improve the site by providing the details about what to do and how to buy a plan.

I thought 17 pounds was a lot of money for a picture of the close where I live.

The representation of my property, and that of my neighbour, is completely out of date (by at least thirty years!) I have had to submit the plans to my council, and they are very inaccurate. I would like my money back as it simply isn't what I paid for, I might as well have drawn things by hand! Waste of money

The location plan and drawing tools are adequate. However, the block plan does not have the tools required to prepare a block plan as required by our planning authority; while I will submit it, I expect it will be rejected because it does not show the information which they require, and the tools on the website do not enable me to add them. I feel the block plan I have paid for will be a complete waste of money.

Dear customer Thanks for the feedback but we haven't recieved any communication from you. There is no reason why the plan should be rejected as they meet all planning department requirements unless you didn't add the lines for your property correctly. Can you let us know what the issue was as we can only help if you contact us. Much appreciated.

Good map, of course, but I really do not understand why such maps are so expensive.

Buying the plans was simple enough, although I consider the product overpriced because of the very limited competition. Although guaranteed to be up to date, in fact the configuration of buildings shown was more than 20 years out of date.
