“The staff at OPL where all very helpful and found us accommodation at a hotel, that in writing left me feeling excited to stay in. Until the actual reality of the place which has been quite a let down. The lamphrey hotel does not have any luxury elements to it and does not deserve to be in one of the hotels you offer. The quality of food is not good, the choice is limited to start with and when they keep running out of things on a limited menu it becomes exasperating. The room we are staying in has a stale old smoke smell despite there begin a non smoking room sign on the door.The communal lounge smells the same. The housekeeping staff are very noisy and wake up to their chatter at 8 in the morning and continues throughout the morning,cheerful staff do their job well but are too noisy and not considerate to paying guests in this way. The only saving grace is they have a lovely swimming pool as I'm an avid swimmer and have enjoyed this aspect of the holiday and the setting of the hotel. This holiday has not been worth the £700 for 4 nights as our summer holiday. This is the third time I have used OPL this one has been the poorest for value for money. Disappointed customer.”

The issues you have raised will be looked into by the hotel's management team, particularly as you feel it should not be on our website. Based on reviews submitted by our customers the overall rating for this hotel is 4 out of 5 so it would appear that your stay was not typical of that usually experienced. “I like it’s a website specialized in british hotels (not a generalist website where you can find everything/everywhere). I think is the right website to find something special, hotels full of atmosphere and character. The deals are very interesting and the website seems reliable.”

“Lovely hotel, lovely staff, glorious food, surrounded by gorgeous scenery, I would have given 5 stars but the only let down was the weak WiFi signal. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be an issue but we needed to be contactable. If peace is your desire this is the place for you.”

“Generally booking process OK, but surely this section should be designed to flag up BOTH positive AND negative comments, as appropriate. My one reservation about the booking process was that "spa treatments" at a discount if pre booked are referred to as part of the "deal", but there was no online facility to pre book these online, and no actual description of what treatments are available.”
