Richard Minns took great care to ensure Dad (who is profoundly deaf) understood all the options. They didn’t add on unnecessary charges but quickly delivered a premium product (a Platinum Ergo). The installer (Ronnie Smallwood) was polite and careful and the stair lift fits in so well - it’s not obstructive at all. It was all done in a a couple of weeks and has made life so much easier. It’s quiet, smooth and efficient.

“From my initial inquiry to installation was 14 days which was extremely, beneficial to our situation. At the initial visit Richard was really helpful. He listened to what we needed and then explained how that would be feasable on site giving us much information on what was available.

“We have a narrow staircase with a 180 deg turn. A full and detailed survey showed the stair lift could be fitted. After a short while to make up the rail the stair lift was efficiently and courteously fitted by Kieren, with assistant. The whole job, start to finish was good. It looks a bit clumsy on our stairs but works well and is of great help. No problems!”

Regarding the speed of the lift, many customers do find it slower than expected at first. This is a standard safety feature set by the manufacturer and is specific to the model, so unfortunately it isn’t something we are able to adjust.
The same applies to the footrest. It is manufactured to a standard size to comply with safety regulations and to ensure the stairlift can be fitted safely and correctly on your staircase. While components such as seat posts and pads can often be adjusted or changed to suit different users, the footrest is supplied by the manufacturer in a fixed size, and we are unable to modify it.

“I have to say that my experience of dealing with Norfolk Stairlifts was excellent.
My in-laws were finding it increasingly difficult to use the stairs and we decided a stairlift was the only option to keep them in their home long term. Norfolk Stairlifts sent Richard to do a survey, he was so helpful and professional. The staircase was very narrow, but he went through all the options and arranged for us all to visit their showroom to try the actual stairlift we were looking at. That visit went very well, the staff could not do enough for us and it really gave my in-laws the confidence they needed.
The lift was fitted a week later and again out sincere thanks go to Robbie who came to do the job, both for the quality of his workmanship and his kind and patient nature whilst demonstrating it.

“From the start we were well looked after. We actually stopped by the showroom and made our choice. There was no pressure. The following day Richard came to look at our stairs and was concerned that the staircase might be a little too narrow but referred it to Sam (the MD) who saw us when we again visited the showroom and his calculations satisfied him that it would work. Two weeks later it was fitted. We've had it now for two weeks and it's working beautifully. My only minor critique is that it is rather slow but I understand that it can be programmed to go a little faster so perhaps when you are in the area you could take another look for me.”
