“I wanted to keep my frames so lenses were changed at 50% of the price charged by a leading company that purports to "save" you money. Process was fairly smooth and glasses came back with new prescription and with the old lenses included. Communication could perhaps be improved. I was aware that glasses had been delivered but I was unaware of what went on after this. After I contacted the company my glasses arrived back after two days.”

“The process worked OK. The website payment section did not prove straightforward, and the return of my glasses took longer than advertised. (I accept that this might have been due to disruption to postal services). The lenses themselves are as I had expected. Overall the purchase was good value and I may well use this firm again.”

“I've had 3 pairs of glasses "re-glazed" - really pleased with with 2 pairs, but the 3rd pair - a half-rimmed frame by Yves Stain Laurent just don't look right, which is a shame.”

“Thank you they are fine, although the frames are very scuffed around the nose area, I don't suppose this could be helped as they probably had to be held tightly somehow to get the lenses out. I will perhaps try to oil them to bring back the tortishell design and restore the colour.”

“Great price and quick return. However, there was a hick up with the order and I didn't get a confirmation email, and therefore didn't know how to send it to you. I rang and was assured it would arrive. I rang a second time , a few days later, and it then arrived. I couldn't find a phone number on your website to call and therefore had to do an internet search to get one elsewhere. Please put a customer phone number line and email enquiry line somewhere.”

“Lenses seem very good quality so happy on that score. It would have been helpful to have an idea of how long the process would take, for some reason I expected a faster turnaround. Helpful replies to my queries on email. Would recommend.”

“My second set of new lenses from this company. The first were fine but the second, when I ordered reading glasses I received distance glasses instead. However they responded very well and accepted them back to change the prescription. The emails they send are a bit terse but otherwise it is a good system.”

“Decent glasses, all correct, fair prices. From order to delivery took 10 days, so not slow, but not fast. In comparison, glasses ordered from Specscart on a Friday morning arrived in the post the following morning, with similar pricing and no extra charges for speedy service. Problems with the online account (no confirmation email) required several emails before getting a response and correction action, which was annoying. Overall, good enough, but could do better.”

“I was delighted how quickly New Lenses mended my glasses after I had a fall and broke them, but one word of critisism. One of the nose clip things had come off while they were with you, and I would've thought you would replace that as a matter of course. So once again I can't wear them until I can find an optician who does the screw in kind.”

“Very good service however it wasn't clear that you should only send your old glasses in by Royal Mail. I had a lot of difficulty because I booked with Yodel and it turns out they won't deliver to a PO box so my glasses were "floating around" in the delivery abyss for a few days. Once the company got them the service was great.”

“Nicely fitted new lenses. Not sure if the elite standard of varifocals is any better than the standard ones to my eyes. The photochromic lenses dont become very dark.”
