hello , I wanted to use a favourit frame of mine , I have not worn glasses since I had lense replacement on both eyes 6 years ago. my eyesight is deteriorating and reading now is quite a chalenge . SO! . I got a test and sent you my frames to get "reading only lenses (new script also sent . it may be "my replacement lenses? are hard to script? , but , my new reading glasses make very little difference to my reading ability before, I am dissapointed , in spite of being a fair price , hardly any help with reading vision .

Sent glasses with an email/request about my prescription. Took several days for a response after sending my frames. 2 weeks later I enquired only for them to reply that it couldn't be done. 2 weeks they had my glasses and didn't say anything. Not great to be honest.

The glasses were processed by Newlenses quickly. However, it took 14 days (yes 14 days) to arrive after being dispatched!

Hi Roy, Thanks for the mail and I’m glad you’ve now received your glasses. Just to confirm, the glasses were sent to you via Royal Mail 1st Class recorded and the typical delays we’ve been seeing are just a few days – this took an exceptionally long time to arrive and I’m sorry again for this. More often in these scenarios, Royal Mail make an attempt to deliver and return back to us if it’s not been successful but this doesn’t seem to be the case here. I read in your reviews that it would take 5 to 10 working days for my lenses to be delivered, I wrote twice to find out what was happening to them, 5 weeks later I got them. I did like them but found the long wait very disappointing. Margaret Brennan

Very speedy service but paid for a more premium package and yet the lenses just get filthy stupidly quick. More than I have ever experienced before. Supposed to have anti glare on but do not, supposed to be anti scratch but are not. Seem to be cheap materiel used.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the quality of the lenses. I can assure you that your lenses had all coatings applied, including anti scratch, anti glare and the UV400 filter. We *only* use top quality branded lenses such as Essilor, Kodak etc.

I thought I was getting two pairs but only got one. My wife laughs at my glasses asking why I chose a child’s glasses as they are small.

I cannot use them s the focus is to short,the old lenses were better.,not very pleased with lenses

I was really pleased with the service provided as I felt the price was very reasonable and the glasses were fitted with new lenses and returned to me quicker than the estimated time. Unfortunately my glasses were returned out of shape and would not sit on my face. This meant visiting a local optician to bend them back and tighten up for me. This is why I can only give a 2 star rating.

Delay initially as I was asked to send photos of myself in glasses, this could have been requested from the initial order set up. When the glasses finally arrived, the frames packaging was ripped and torn. Oakley lens cloth missing Frames were twisted. Most importantly the glasses are unwearable now as the reading portion of the lense seems to be out of place meaning i cannot use my laptop whilst wearing them. meaning I am having to get a completely new pair. Not impressed.

Ordered 3 pairs of tinted lenses (Reglaze). Firstly i noticed that the tints weren't as expected (On one i ordered a 'Lightest' Yellow tint for computer work which turned out basically the same colour as canary melons..... far, far too dark). Secondly, and dangerously, i ordered and paid for anti-reflective and UV protection coatings on all three glasses... Not one of these lenses received any coatings... which is actually quite dangerous with dark tinted lenses or sunglasses as the pupil dilates and allows in more UV light, which must be filtered or risk serious eye damage now and in future. As of now i'm in contact with NewLenses customer care which is proving to be stressful, dismissive and anxiety provoking. Consider the two stars for good delivery and speedy service. Yet, not a good experience at all and a birthday present delayed at least, ruined at most. I'm holding out hope that NewLenses can regain my broken trust.

I sent an up to date prescription with my order and it arrived in good time but the glasses were far to large and the reading quality of the lense was poor....was going to purchase more if they were alright and for the money wasn't expecting anything special,but...lets just say I wont be back and wont recommend to anyone...regards...

I paid for 1st Class Parcel and told that delivery would take 1-2 business days. 5 days later I still have not received my glasses. A phone call to support was no use, as they couldn't even tell me if they had been dispatched, just that my order was being processed. I am going on a course on Friday and will be unable to see any of the information needed if I have not received my glasses by then. Very disappointing as this is the second online opticians that I have used, and wish that I had stayed with glasses direct. I will not be recommending them, like I did previously with the other company.

The glasses weren't what I expected I won't be buying them again they kept falling off my face resulting in someone standing on them and breaking them. The glasses themselves were bigger on my face I looked strange in them according to family members

Comms where good however didnt receive what I ordered. 1.74 lenses where considerably thicker than my previous 1.67 high insex lenses. In addition had a significant amount of aberation so sadly returned lenses for refund..

Hi Martin, I'm very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the lenses. The lenses we supply for varifocals are genuine Kodak Elite Varifocal Digital Freeform lenses, which are considered the best available. I'm very surprised that they would be thicker than your existing 1.67 lenses, and we get extremely positive feedback from our customers on these lenses. We would welcome the chance to investigate this and resolve this for you, but in this case we have agreed a full refund for you. The case was damaged,ie the black button clip came apart from the case once I opened the case
