“I tried to order new lenses online but was unsure of how to fill in the lenses prescription. I rang there customers services for advice and the order was taken over the phone. There was then a delay of 24hrs before I had a notification by email with invoice and ordering instructions. Return postage was charged but after a further phone call was deducted as postage is free after a certain spend. From then on the process went smoothly and I received my new lenses within a week, which are of a very high quality (gold)”

The Transitions XTRActive lenses do take a few days extra in processing time due to the complexity of the lenses and coatings which have to be applied. “very efficient and speedy delivery, will order again. one slight problem with their website when I opened an account and ordered my glasses newlenses sent me a tracker number to follow my glasses delivery, but when I went back into my account my order was not their so I could not track. never the less I still got what I ordered and delivered quickly.”

“Easy to place the order, shame the postal address to send the glasses to wasn't a PO Box number as Hermes didn't like the address and I had to send them using royal mail which was dearer. Person the new lenses were ordered for is more than happy with them.”

“I used Newlenses in the hope that my prescription would be a quick turn around for replacement lenses. I wasn't so lucky as it took 11 days, not including the Bankholiday Monday. I selected the 'Bronze' package for single vision which means, 1.5 index optical lenses with Scratch resistant, Anti-reflective, UV filter coating and added No Tint. (One stage up from the basic package) I didn't receive an email to let me know my glasses had arrived with them safely, so I had to call a few times to be informed that they are being prossesd. On four occasions I didn't receive a call back in relation to how far down the prosses they were. Only an email to thank me for my call and informing me they would get back to me. They never did reply to any calls or emails. So I'm a little disappointed in that part of the customer service. Hence the rant. Having said that, everyone was very polite on the phone and professional with their emails. But you lose faith after chasing so many times. Would I use Newlenses again? Yes, as the quality of the lenses appears to be good and they were returned well packaged in a free glasses case that I didn't expect, as I sent them originally with out one. Value for money can not be argued against. I just think I'll go with the flow next time and put my faith in the fact that they have received them and will get them back to me within two weeks.”

“First of all I would like to say how pleased I was with my new glasses and also the price I paid for them. The reason I awarded four stars instead of five was because I had to wait three weeks for my order to complete due to a supply problem but they were worth the wait.”
