Customer service was so poor and no proper communication. All I have received is about my first repayment date before that release my loan amount. I couldn’t get the car on time due to delay and no communication policy from My car credit team. I don’t recommend them.

There was a delay to same-day payment while we awaited signed documents, and unfortunately the funding cut-off had passed by the time these were returned. We also experienced a delay receiving the invoice, as the dealer was unable to provide this until the vehicle was on site. They made me go two hours and couldn’t take the car beacuse there was a problem with my name and they made a second time to go and take the car guaranteeing that the money transfer is going to be in in that night until 6 pm and it wasn’t so I had to go back home and come back the next morning arround 12

Having looked into your application, we can see that your initial lender was unable to proceed because the income documents provided didn’t match the original figures. We worked quickly to find an alternative lender so that your finance could still be approved, and the application was successfully paid out. I would strongly advise avoiding My Car Credit / Evolution Funding. At the start, they offered me a very attractive APR of 9 percent. Once I found a car, they suddenly claimed the lender wouldn’t finance it because they “don’t pay VAT”, which already raised questions. When I found another suitable car, they sold me a warranty upfront, which I paid for in good faith. They then sent the invoice to their finance company and kept me waiting for three days with no update. When I finally called this morning, all I was told was, “I’m afraid we can’t go ahead with your application at this time.” No explanation, no email, no courtesy message, and no advice on what to do next. Just a dead end. Despite having an excellent credit score, they ran my application through multiple lenders without informing me. I now have five hard searches on my credit file, all because they kept trying different companies behind the scenes. Those searches sit on your record and reduce your chances of getting finance elsewhere. For a £20,000 car, their commission would have been around £2,500, with £500 of that going to ClearScore for the referral. It now feels like these brokers lure you in with a low APR, run multiple hard searches without consent, and leave you worse off when everything collapses on their side. I’ve decided to wait until March for the searches to cool down and then take out a personal loan and buy the car directly. Far simpler. Overall, the experience was stressful, unclear, and honestly quite disappointing. Avoid this company.

When you apply, an initial APR is generated using the information provided and an early view of your credit profile. As the application moves through further checks, additional information can sometimes change the outcome. As a broker, we work with a panel of lenders who each carry out their own assessments. They make the final decision on whether they can offer finance, and they are not required to share the reasons behind that decision. In this instance, the lender was unable to proceed, which means we’re unable to take the application forward. As the decision is final, we’re not able to provide any further detail. Sales and commission driven individuals who don't listen to the customer. Bad experience as they released funds to Dealership without authorisation. On numerous emails and telephone conversation it was specified not to release funds until I am back into the country. Also no central point of contract as various advisors. Not recommended

Honestly it poor I had to go to the dealers 3 times just because the funds were not being released spent an extra 400 just because of this and would not eally recommended it to anyone

Didn’t go well at all. Informed me that funds would be transferred on the day as long as application was sent by midday. Application was sent in the morning but it wasn’t processed until 4pm. This meant funds were not received on the day. Being bank holiday this meant funds would not be received until Tuesday which meant I could not collect vehicle purchased until Tuesday! I had to hire a car which was a considerable expense and inconvenience.

We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to face a delay in collecting your new vehicle—especially heading into a bank holiday weekend. While we do aim to process payouts as promptly as possible, your application was unfortunately finalised later in the afternoon, and as our treasury team doesn’t operate over weekends or bank holidays, this meant the funds couldn’t clear in time for a same-day release. We did reach out to the dealership to request the vehicle be released based on payout confirmation, but ultimately it’s at their discretion to wait until funds are physically received. They delayed the funds by using the wrong email address for the car dealership. Then sent me the wrong paperwork. Finally, they transferred funds at the very last minute, after the dealership’s accounts office had closed meaning that the car could not be released as planned. It caused a great deal of inconvenience changing my insurance. I would never use again.

terrible!!!! they got my name wrong, got me credit in that name and when reminded it needed changed ( because i had advised this at the start) it took nearly a full week of me chasing them multiple times per day. Having to chase information from them and then finally having to go to the underwriters myself and get the info needed. I spoke to so many people who gave me different, conflicting information every single time. Telling me i didnt need to supply certain information when i did. Cost me a fortune in extra car insurance due to their mistake and then got cheeky with me (Jerome) when i said i didnt have a great experience with him at the start and would rather speak to someone else. I could leave about a 15 page negative review here to be honest. We did get there in the end but mostly because i chased everything myself. For the value of commission paid to them ( just under £1100 ) i expected a better service than having to do it all myself.

I found that my car credit service was diabolical, firstly they paid the wrong garage and then dragged their feet rectifying the problem. I will be making a complaint to trading standards

I have been messed around all day, asked for different details one at the time 3 hours apart from each other. They could not provide a link for e-sign, they knew I need to pick the car from the dealership today and it genuinely feels like they did everything in their power to stop me. I am crying on the train after a painful and stressful application process at the end of which I have no car. Would not recommend, very stone age-style operation.

This company is a scam, do not trust them. look for other brokers This company is a scam. Do not trust their sweet word. If you do not wish to ruin your credit score and please look for another credit broker. They are absolutely unreliable scams. Please do not trust them. They will ruin your credit score and will give one after one false hope that the application is approved and the fund will payout. In fact, they are incompetent and fraudulently give false hope.

Terrible! Constantly lied to me about the status of my finance application. Constantly lied to me about communicating with the dealership. If I wasn't so far into the process at that point I wouldn't have "left" and used a different company.

Having used this company twice before we are totally shocked at the apauling way we have been treat this time. We gave the handler personal information that should have flagged up concerns and a better duty of care. But instead he and his fellow work companions chose to ignore this. I have taken this matter to another level as a complaint. The handlers caused unnecessary, anxiety and stress and the information requested left us feeling vulnerable and as though we have been scammed.

I have used this company twice in the past, this time was a nightmare for some reason. We will not use them again. Unnecessary problems were created, the application felt more like I was being scammed and 10 days of harassment daily for information that was not warranted. I made a complaint to the Ombudsman.

Good to start off with but quickly declined. Messed up invoicing process despite being told by myself and the car dealer where the errors were. This meant that the car was delayed in getting to me. I constantly had to ring and chase (6 times over 2 working days) and was told something new each time. On the phone I was patronised and staff were unhelpful. I asked for my case to be escalated and compensation and was told there was no process. It felt like my car credit couldn’t understand the invoices even through they were correct. They didn’t listen to myself or my car dealer and refused to take responsibility for causing delays. They weren’t apologetic or accepting of my needs.
