Having called MX5parts to enquire about the cost of the very expensive Smart-Top for my NC PRHT, given that several reviewers were pleased to have got theirs at a discount, for various resons, I was told very abruptly that they must have got theirs at a sale event and the price was what it was. Very abruptly. Having subsequently forked out £343 for mine, I was amazed to find them on sale at a 10% discount just two days later! The guy could have mentioned the upcoming sale but chose not to. I call that money-grabbing. I won't be giving MX5parts the opportunity to stiff me again.

Specifically ordered a engine oil drain plug sealing washer for a NC MX5 but the washer was to big and useless.

Ordered in stock parts on 6th Feb, now the 16th and still not received. Been told by courier they will be at local post office on Monday. £10 delivery for a 2 week wait. Bang goes my weekend getting car sorted!

I am afraid I am not very satisfied for the two following reasons. Firstly, I ordered a battery for my MX5 to be delivered to an address in France. The delivery charge was reasonable but I had to pay £60 extra in import duty. Half the price of the battery! I know from your terms and conditions that duty "may" be payable, but I didn't expect such a steep bill. I think you should be more explicit about this charge in the case of an overseas sale, to warn customers how much they might end up paying. You obviously knew where the battery was being shipped to and are fully aware of charges applied on such transactions. Secondly the battery cut off switch (Dis-Car-Nect) does not fit the battery post of the Westco battery delivered at the same time. Impossible to tighten it up, so unusable. So as I say, I'm very disappointed as a returning customer. Until now I have been fully pleased with purchases made from you but now will think twice before ordering from you.

The selection of parts is very good but the whole process is very long. After 13 days of the buy date the product is not even dispatched.

trés mécontent, car j'ai commandé des tapis pour ma MX5 ND pour 22 £ + 17 £ de livraison, et a l'arrivée du colis, on me réclame encore 17 £ de douanes en plus ... sans que j'ai été informé..Ìl me semble que c'est l'expéditeur qui doit payer les frais de douanes.. Dans tous les cas, les tapis de sol m'ont donc couté 56 £ au lieu de 22..

The customs charges incurred are charged locally by the destination country, therefore something that is out of our control unfortunately. It’s a shame there is no competition to drive the prices down. I find everything on the website very expensive. I have called their number to try and speak with staff and found the staff not particularly keen to help.

Good price for parts, which is why i keep coming back. But a very shame that express shipping is not an option - also not possible even if i sent them a shipping label. Now my parts are still in transit after 10 days.

I been ordering parts from here for a long while now, and usually parts were arriving almost next day. Or within a couple of days. But as of recent , my orders have taken nearly a week to get to me. Understood this may be the fault of Royal mail but just seeks strange that its been completly different time periods this has happened. Maybe review your parcel service? This really has become a hinderence on me completing some of my projects.

Been waiting 9 months for a part. Not sure why you advertise it for sale if you can't get it. Ordered same part last year and after waiting almost 12 months I cancelled my order. Most things seem to be out of stock.

All concernes lay with the delivery. Tracked to courier as soon as order placed and from then on the tracker was flakey virtually useless and frustrating. Waited at home the following afternoon however on contacting the courier (ThinkWW) apparently the driver ran out of hours and couldn't deliver on the texted time and date, i had taken unpaid time off from work as a signature was required and the vehicle is my daily for work. Wheel off, brakes striped. Item arrived via Parcel Force the next day with no forecast advised, by chance I was home and the item was not signed for. I did inform the courier office they could leave the item under the car on my drive or fit it if they wanted:) as I was needing the car.

We don't recommend MX5 Parts if you are an EU company and you need to have import customs documents filled out properly. In our experience, having your vat number on the invoice is quite impossible, even if you ask specifically for it and the Eur1 customs form produced by them is a possible source of loss of money, like we unfortunately had. Their customer care doesn't care for customers at all, but if you are a lucky guy and you buy from inside the UK we think MX5 Parts could be a good choice. They have fast shipments and most of the items they sell are chosen with accuracy.

I had a day booked at a garage for Campbeltown change, your site states...orders before three will go straight away, in fact it was not shipped until the next day, the parts were in stock, so I don't know who slipped up there, but it caused me problems.
