Despite reviews I am sorry to say the dipstick was very flimsy compared to the original The other thing was the level on the original didnt match the level on the revised new one This confused me a little so I have returned the updated version - I can still read the old one okay Not a criticism of MX5 Parts whose service is always brilliant

Sadly their same day shipping is very optimistic to say the least. Around 30%of orders I have placed have taken 3 or more days to ship. Site also shows parts due this week but if you ring to check suddenly it will be 6 weeks but they don't update website.

Hi Brian - we are very grateful for your loyal custom and can see you are a regular customer of ours. We can assure you we try to ship all of our orders on the same day where possible, but occasionally in extremely busy periods such as a sale or orders placed at a weekend may mean they are shipped within 2 to 3 days. In terms of the lead times quoted, again we always provide the most accurate information we have, however some of the parts that come from Japan are difficult to give definitive timescales as we get given quite a wide delivery window. HI You should open a company in the EU and I would buy more parts from you. In the past, it was much easier. Now the transport takes far too long and becomes more complicated.

I ordered some luggage which was infact out of stock I was aware of this. When I ordered the luggage the website confirmed no payment would be taken until the luggage was dispatched.This was not the case payment of over £200 was taken at the time of order. The item is still out of stock and has not been delivered.

Ordered boot bags which I needed for a specific trip, although they were out of stock they were expected within a few days. They never arrived so I cancelled the order. Not be the direct fault of mx5 parts but very disappointing and no updates until I chased them.

My first order mx5 parts was disappointing as the paint I ordered was advertised at 11.89 . I was charged 15.50 +3.10 . Very disappointed

Hi John - we have looked into this further and the reason you were charged a total of £18.60 inc VAT was because the specific colour purchased, i.e. Soul Red Crystal Metallic, carries an additional surcharge cost due to the fact this one requires a base coat and a top coat. We apologise if you feel there was any miscommunication however the price is represented as a +figure in the dropdown options. I wanted fast delivery, so I ordered by thinking my goodies will be despatched same day, but it took 4days, before my order was updated to shipped. I will probably order from somewhere else next time, sorry.

ordered 2 mx5 rear brake ajusters the crub screw inside calliper and received 2 collared nuts was told by brian to send them back but could not wait another week so went elsewhere

Hi Declan - we are sorry you are having issues with the fuses. We have double checked your order on our system and unfortunately the Mk3/Mk4 fuses were ordered rather than the Mk1s. Have made an order on the 25th of march. When it arrived to Ireland it was misdirected to Germany. Made no attempt in sending out a different parcel and recalling the original one back, so I could get it ASAP. I now have to contact DHL request a refund for the customs charge i have paid, wait for the other parcel to be returned to the company so they can send it to me again and then pay customs again on it.

Hi Philippe - we are sorry to learn your order hasn't yet been received, it left us on the 28th January and we can see that it has landed in France and is awaiting delivery. Please could we therefore ask you to check to see if you have had an email from the courier to pay the import duty as this may be what is causing the hold up if that hasn't been paid. The courier is Parcelforce and we will send you your tracking information by separate email. I used to use these guys a lot - liked them and delivery and service were good. Now, for some reason, I need to sign up for an account - I have no wish to do so. And you can't buy without one. Ho hum - I've gone somewhere else now.

Good customer service, bad shipping options. Orders from above 30€ or from outside uk would have a registered mail or something with tracking number. Royal mail is not cheap, isn't fast and doesn't provide tracking.

2 weeks after ordering, I have not received any shipping tracking information and, of course, have not received the parts. What is happening ?

Hi Jerome Your order was sent via a standard Royal Mail service on the 2nd December. Unfortunately, certain Royal Mail deliveries do not come with a tracking service, however we do know that deliveries into Europe are taking between 2 and 3 weeks at the moment, therefore if you do not receive your order in another week or so please do contact us again at sales@mx5parts.co.uk. I didn’t receive my order, maybe because I have to pay importation fees… I received a SMS from DPD but it don’t seems to be legit… I will have appreciate a parcel tracking
