Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. “Fantastic customer service with lots of helpful caring staff who listen to you as an individual and help you find the right cup for you. I'm happy to say, if you're unsure like I was then give it a go as I won't be going back.”

“Easy ordering and fantastic customer service on Facebook page! I love the mooncup, been using a cup for about 6 or 7 years and I've only ever had 1 leak. I have pcos and fibroids so things can get heavy but it copes well. Once you have got used to how to put it in, you wonder why you ever used a tampon of pad in the first place. I personally cringe when I think about having to wear a tampon or pad now! Definite game changer.”

“Mooncup you have officially changed my life!!! I have a bleeding disorder so normally I get through a hell of a lot of sanitary products each month (not to mention how much time I spend in the toilet!!!) and being a nurse I rarely have time for a break at the best of times. The Mooncup is a revolution and after 2 cycles I was used to it- I recommend it to everyone!!!”

“I bought the recommended size but I think it’s the wrong size for me- too painful. I haven’t bought the other size but I’m thinking about it. I love the idea and all it offers but haven’t been able to put it into practice.”

“It's great to feel you are doing something that really benefits the environment, is safe and clean. Be careful not to cut too much off as I had difficulty getting mine out one morning. After a mini panic, I managed to resolve it. It can take a while to get used to putting it in and getting the position right and then taking it out but it got easier the more I did it.”

“It took a few tries (and a slightly obsessive weekend messing up my boyfriends YouTube recommendations!) to get the hang of the cup but I can say it is SO WORTH IT! Lockdown is the perfect time to give it a go and I highly recommend doing your research before use. It really helps to have fold options, positioning and removing tips at the ready when needed! “Getting a mooncup has changed my life, no lie. I used to DREAD my period especially on heavy flow days but now I don't have to worry about carrying loads of tampons and pads around. The cup is so so easy to use once you've gotten used to it. Its been about 2 years since I first tried out a moon cup and I have told all my friends to get one as it is a complete game changer! “Just the best, what a buy. So happy with this product! I think it’s a little daunting on the first use but that feeling soon goes. After a couple of cycles use I find the cup so comfortable easy to use and clean. I can relax and not worry about leaking on periods, as mine personally are all over the place. Having a light flow one day of the cycle and using heavy flow tampons just isn’t comfortable. With the moon cup you don’t get any dry friction. FAB!”

“I've wanted to try mooncup for years but always felt like I didn't have 'the time' to get used to it. I finally took the plunge and started using it on a lazy Sunday at home and I honestly don't know why I waited so long. After emptying it a couple of times I soon got the hang of it and now it is the only product I use for my period. I don't even wear a panty liner like I used to do with tampons, no leaks whatsoever!”

“I have always experienced severe irrational from sanitary towels and tampons. I’ve used the moon cup for over 3 years now. It fits securely and never leaks. Took me a couple of days to get used to inserting and removing. It’s so much easier than any other period protection. I recommend to everyone. I always tell all my friends to try the mooncup. And it’s only £20!! Definitely worth the investment and so environmentally friendly!”

“I never though of buying a mooncup and it scared me but it is the best thing I have ever bought. I have been having problems with my periods for almost 3 months they are all over the place I have really heavy ones that stop me leaving the house, I have to change my heavy flow tampon even 10 mins.... That's no lie. It got to the point we're I would have to wear incontinence pants with a tampon just incase. I thought "what could go wrong? It literally can't get any worse" so I bought my first moon cup and omg... It is the best thing I have ever bought was a bit strange at first but with a bit of exploring and finding a comfy space, that was it I had gained a period bestie!! I will never go back to pads, tampons ever again. So comfy, secure, no leaks, easy to put in and take out. I think everyone should get a period bestie. ♻️🚺❤️”

“I wish I'd bought my Mooncup much earlier. It can be used for light and heavy days and all the time I'm using it I feel I'm doing a little bit for the environment by saving waste. I've bought some "period pants" to go with it but haven't had too much need for them. It took a little while to find the right 'fit' but I usually don't feel it at all, and definitely less than a tampon. If your thinking about trying this then go for it!!”
