Thank you for your review - we are really pleased we could help - we work hard in ensuring those with extra requirements are served wherever possible - where that's overseas residents, the over 85s or the under 21s for instance! We would recommend using us for your car hire excess insurance requirements going forward as we are hopeful that we will be able to offer more insurers looking after non UK residents in the future. “Used after going on Martin Lewis advice site. Very helpful but policies are so complicated-not sure if I’m covered fully. Hoping it all works if I need to claim.”

You have bought a standard annual excess insurance which is ideal for the vast majority of car hires in Europe - so it would be very unusual for you to need anything different, but if you do want to call and check we are here to help. Hi Rayna Thanks for your review. We too are disappointed that you faced that issue - I think it came about as you were using online chat and they were trying to find an online solution whereas they could have processed the booking for you over the phone. “I tried to book insurance with a company called Leisure Guard through the MoneyMaxim website, as they seem to find the best deals. Leisure Guard’s website corrupted twice, just as I authorised payment. No confirmation emails but they still took my money, twice! Someone from Money Maxim phoned me and explained that the problem was with the Leisure Guard website. Money Maxim were very helpful and got me my refund. If it hadn’t been for the stress of being charged twice for nothing by Leisure Guard, my experience with Money Maxim would have been perfect.”
