Disgusting service Two days already I tried to renew my policy. Because of constant glitches In MCE sistem and delays with verification information I've late to renew it is lapsed. Two days I have spoke already with seven different mce agent's (Glen, Mary, Nicole, Jobr, Jiba, Mel and Lenser) So they introduced themselves to me. Almost all of them advises were absolutely pointless. Only thing they do, asking your details during 5-minutes and then send you to them website to fill in questionnaire to get new quote. I've done it 4 times already during last day. The last agent Lenser I called him five minutes before closing. After 10 minutes of inquiries he asked to stay on the line and hung up. Apparently, he decided it was time to go home. As I dealt with this company also in the past I would like to warn all others that several times I caught them agent's on obvious lies. So I advise you to write all names of agent's you spoke with, time of conversation and other details if you deal with them.

Not a good experience. All seemed well and I ended up buying my insurance from Bennetts. A few days later a letter arrives, must be my docs I think but it is Bennetts asking for proof of 9 years no claims. I've actually got this on another bike and was asked about other vehicles on MCN compare. What I did request for my quote was 0 years no claims as this policy wouldn't be replacing my other bike. I then have to contact both insurance companies, old bike and Bennetts. Obviously my existing insurer doesn't want to provide proof of no claims discount on a current policy, not unless I close it. Nevermind say Bennets just pay us an extra £96.00. You could close the policy but we'll charge you to do that too. I have to resist this on principle but wonder how many people do, after all I've been honest with my info and request. The insurer blames MCN Compare. I know I answered all the info correctly. Eventually after much 'I need to speak to my manager' from the lady on the phone we manage to get to a solution and guess what that is... I pay more. In the end the policy was cancelled, charge waived and a new policy started for £20.00 more than the original quote. What really bugs me about this is the prices you are seeing on MCN Compare aren't correct or the one you'll end up paying. The question remains are MCN Compare giving the insurance companies the wrong info or are the insurance companies, in this case Bennetts, showing you a cheaper price while being compared but bumping it up later? A friend in the insurance industry tells me they call it scheduling and they'll try to get as much out of you as they can...What a racket Riders beware!

Input data and selected Bikesure, duly progressed to take cover. Was then contacted, a gross mismanagement of data; had to pay additional premiums: use with care!

Shocking service. Received a text to contact them regarding the policy. They changed my name to my full name and there was an issue with the date of purchase of the bike as the form had automatically filled it in from a previous quote the previous year. MCN tried to charge me a further £70 on the policy and stated £35 was an admin fee. When I said cancel it as the policy was only £110 I was charged £28 cancellation fee from the insurer ( for less than an hour ) and also £35 from MCN for admin. Shocking service and a licence to print money for them. Check check and triple check your form before submitting it. Even better ring companies up.

Personal experience with the insurance company recommended was awful - had to cancel the policy with BikeSure who charged me £65 for the pleasure of not even commencing the policy - won’t be using this compare site again as I don’t feel they vet the organisations recommended - hope others have a better experience

It's the same as any other. In fact the web page looks EXACTLY the same as any other bike comparison site. With EXACTLY the same quotes. The cynic in me says it's actually the same website you're sent to but they take a cut for referral. The realist in me says I'm right.

I stupidly went for the suggested insurance from MCN without checking. But when I approached my old insurers for proof of NCD I realised they were £10 cheaper. So if I need to check myself what is the point of MCN?

At first all seemed good. Great quotes, automated process. Really quick and easy.... except that none of it worked, the company took my money then told me I wasn't insured! WTAF?!?! I then had to chase the company for a refund then missed out on the quoted deal. Ended up doing all the running around myself in the end.

MCN indicated that the policy I decided to buy gave me cover to ride other bikes. After buying I was informed by the insurance company that it did not cover this. If you can’t rely on the information they are giving, then they are a waste of time for me. I emailed them to complain but they never answered me.

MCN Compare needs to vet the companies they recommend, I ended up with Devitt Insurance who are beyond awful, I have a useless policy that I can’t change and daren't cancel as I don’t want my credit rating ruined. A lot of money wasted.

If I could rate it 0 stars then I would. Horrible company, said "we'll change your licence over to a full category A" when it was the case anyway, then made a change to licence held time because you couldn't differentiate on your application then tried to charge me £150 extra and I cancelled application during a phone call but you charged £60 online cancellation fee on top of £30 cancellation fee. Would not recommend.

So MCN advertise with the promise of lots of quotes readily available, saving time and reducing hassle. Why then being a model insuree (riding for more than 40 years, no accidents/convictions in over 20 years, uk resident since birth, home owner, low capacity bike, maximum no claims, low risk area, etc) do I just get 1 price from a single company? Very poor and definitely unimpressed
