“If I could rate it 0 stars then I would. Horrible company, said "we'll change your licence over to a full category A" when it was the case anyway, then made a change to licence held time because you couldn't differentiate on your application then tried to charge me £150 extra and I cancelled application during a phone call but you charged £60 online cancellation fee on top of £30 cancellation fee. Would not recommend.”

“So MCN advertise with the promise of lots of quotes readily available, saving time and reducing hassle. Why then being a model insuree (riding for more than 40 years, no accidents/convictions in over 20 years, uk resident since birth, home owner, low capacity bike, maximum no claims,low risk area, etc) do I just get 1 price from a single company? Very poor and definitely unimpressed”

“rubbish your database identified my bike as a Kawasaki H2 NOT THE Z1000SX that it is so i was getting quotes of 2000 plus i ended up going direct and paid 499 sort your system oh im one of the percentage that won't recommend you and you can actually say that as its a fact”

“Had nothing but problems had my policy several weeks and still cannot access bike social has numerous phone conversations and still nothing it's still being looked into apparently no one calls you after I have requested several call backs not happy at all”

“Can't recommend at all. Cancelation with them is horrible and they sent a wrong documents with wrong date which is four years ago. Cancelation fees and owe amount are with stars rather than exact figures. The terms and conditions are not clear. Completely rubbish, will never use their service again”

“I would not give them 1 star, they said i named the model of bike wrong then tried to double the price .i cancelled my insurance with them in less than 24 hrs and they charged me £88 . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ,I WILL ADVISE ALL OF MY BIKER MATES TO DO THE SAME .APPALLING CUSTOMER SEVICE ,PLAIN OUT ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!!”

“I used MCN Compare, they said MCE would be cheapest for my motorbike insurance, I signed up and paid the full annual premium (£600) and they went bust taking my money with them. MCE should NOT have been on the options. What is the point of comparison wen one choice will rip you off.....?”

“Took out a policy for 12months paying monthly as I always have. Cancelled after 5months due to the sale of my bike and only way to cancel was to pay full outstanding amount! Never had this before with any insurer, absolute rip off, taking cash for a service which is not being used.”

“Money eaters, just refused twice time's to insure my 50cc, since I had every right to get. Even they send me to a different insure company, yet I just wanted to use my moped to travel to my jobplace, or shopping. Do not deal with them if you are not british!”

“Initially unable to provide cover for an electric motorcycle. It was only after I wrote to the editor of MCN that I was offered cover. Even then £350 for 1000 miles per year seemed rather expensive.”
