The paint was over five years old and the colour reduced to a faded tint. Complete waste of money. I would not advise buying by mail.

You are declaring on your website that you provide next day delivery service but I placed an order with you several times and it always took you at least 4 days to deliver.

I ordered 10 bags of compost on Sunday, the delivery method was Next day. I was expecting to get a notification on Monday saying that my order will be delivered on Tuesday. I have not received any communication and called Monday evening to check, and was told that the compost is out of stock and can be delivered in 10 (!) days for the same next day delivery fee of 24.99! In the meantime, the money was taken from my account even though the goods are out of stock. I find this situation absolutely unacceptable. First, you should not take an order and charge the money for goods that are not in stock. Second, if you put yourself in the situation when stock is not checked at the point of order placement and you offer next day delivery, someone has to check it next day and communicate it to the customer. Third, the delivery charge for the next day and 10 days cannot be the same. Fourth, I was told that my money will be refunded and still waiting - it says in T&C that the refund will be processed in 7 working days - the question is how come you take the money from my account immediately for the goods you don't have but you give yourself 7 days to pay me back? Very bad experience overall.

I emailed them to cancel the order 2 minutes after placing it however they ignored that and just sent me an email the following day saying it had been despatched. I found that quite unreasonable.

would love to be able to rate the product and yourselves but your choice of postal system sucks 4/12/14 tried toi deliver but no one in did not even attempt to leave with neighbor at 17 as instructed nothing wrote on card. 5/12/14 tried to deliver again no one in left blank card again and didn't try neighbor at 17 Sent an email on the evening of the 5th requesting they deliver to a different address after spending an hour in telephone queue Get a response on the 8th saying that they couldn't change the delivery address phoned them and finally got thru they then said they could change the address an that it would be delivered on the 9th at new address didn't arrive. Contacted them on the 10th and they siad they will try to deliver today LOL!!!!!! 1 week later and i still do not have it i sent emails and called them and just getting thru on the phone keeps you waiting nearly an hour, they are trying to deliver today apparently.

I have been waiting for my order for six days ,up to now.had no communication from maxwells to advise.paid £2.99 for delivery for order,small item.and expected it to arrive within the 2 to 3 days ,as stated when I paid for delivery.would not use or order again.

paid for the goods Thursday, and was told next day delivery two working days later still no delivery, two days wages lost, total waste of time, i used this company once before and had the same problem, The sad thing is we are just about to start a huge hotel project and would have been more than happy to use Maxwells if the service was any good. i feel as though i have been ripped off.

Firstly some bright spark in the packing department stuck our label on the wrong order,so we had to cancel the decorator. The carrier sends a text saying we'll deliver at 4pm to 5pm,and turns up at 2pm with the wrong order of course. Correct order arrives the following day,again 2 hours earlier than the carrier than the text we recived....fortunately we were in. Maxwells on line customer service says, the carrier will take the incorrect parcel away when they redeliver the correct order.......... can't do that says the driver. Still awaiting an e-mail reply from Maxwells after reporting this fact. All in all a pretty shoddy on line service. Pricing on the products excellent, they just need to sort out the logistics and the packing . I'll give it another try next time I need stuff, and hope they have got things sorted.

To make this very clear the review is about the product as Maxwells themselves were fast and efficient with delivery. This product is terrible. Not fit for purpose. Used it 4 times before it broke and the 3rd and 4th time of use produced shoddy and spattered effects. Black and Decker spray gun is poorly designed and terribly built. £35 of wasted cash.

Placed order and from what I read expected delivery the next day! I made several phone calls to the order line, which went unanswered. I left a message requesting a call to confirm the delivery time. I recieved a call after 1400 on the expected day of delivery, to be asked if delivery 4 days later was ok. Beware, read the delivery terms and conditions as they are not clear when ordering. Very disapointed with the attitude of the staff I spoke to. Was given refund when requested after the 3rd request! I will not use Maxwells again!
