Ordered stain for the next day delivery but after half day waiting had to call to the customer servise to find out this stain is out of stock untill next week. Never had such a poor service. Had to cancel the order.

Ordered 2 items for the 'next day delivery', but only 1 item was delivered on time. No communication with regards to why there is a delay with the 2nd item and when it will be delivered.

Paid for next day delivery but still not received a week later. I have called them but there is no answer. I have left a message and emailed but received no reply. Don't bother ordering with Maxwell's DIY.

Absolute rubbish service. Item ordered13/04/15 with 2-3 days delivery. Called after 1 week. told it was due in and would upgrade delivery. Still no delivery. Called again today to be told that item is not available - thanks for letting me know !!!!! If I treated my customers like this I would soon be looking for another job

Absolute rubbish of a company - I ordered paint on Wednesday for next day delivery, four days later and still no paint. Naturally, customer service do not respond to my emails of enquiry. Will be making a formal complaint about this company.

paid for next day delivery, but they posted it 48hr delivery. phoned twice, the first time they told me it had been posted on next day delivery but when it did not arrive they then admitted that they had posted it on 2 day delivery. they offered £2 refund for inconvenience!!!! No phone calls from them,I had to keep phoning them.

Very poor service, ordered products on Monday evening expecting next Day delivery to be Weds, with no delivery after waiting all day for it, called Thurs to chase up to be told it has just come back in stock and will be sent, to then recieve a lousy £2 postal refund, would have been quicker ( and cheaper ) to get straight from B&Q, I should not have been able to order product if out of stock in the first place... waste of time, wont bother next time.

Ordered Ronseal Cornflower paint. Got elderflower. I called them and they said they would get back to me which they never did, I emailed them and they didn't bother replying

Ordered for next day delivery but order did not turn up. No reply to email asking what was happening. When I rang after 3 days they said they were out of stock and it would be another 6 days. Very poor customer service - if they could not fulfil next day delivery they should have notified us immediately and it is just common courtesy to reply to an email

Paid for a next day delivery, was emailed to say the delivery would be a day late, goods didn't turn up, emailed twice but got no reply. The goods turned up a week later with two items missing and three items damaged, Phoned and was told the missing items had been delivered but they would check with their carrier and would despatch the missing items again if the carrier did not have them. That was a week ago and I have not received the missing items. Terrible service, the customer service operator did not offer any discount or refund for the missed next day delivery and I will now have to chase my missing items or a refund.

Order No: WEB/25813 placed with you on 9th April 2015. Received from you comfirmation that I would get my order the next day.. My order has still not arrived and this is the end of the 4th working day.(15-04-2015). Yesterday I phoned your help line to query the delay, the receptionist said she would look into the problem. After phoning back later in the day I was informed that the problem was sorted out and that my goods would be with me today (15-04-2015). Can some body sort out whatever the problem is and make me a happy customer. Thank you R.Bampton.

Ordered two cans of Ronseal decking stain for next day delivery. After 5 days I had not received the order so sub,titled an online enquiry via the website. No reply. I phoned the courier and was advised that the package was leaking and was returned to Maxwells. I phoned Maxwells and was advised that a replacement would be sent out. 4 days later and still not received the decking stain. Submitted another enquiry three days ago and no response. Truly appalling customer service and would not order anything again from this company. I will phone again tomorrow and demand a refund.

Made an order on line for delivery. Got an email next day saying where did I want to collect the order from, emailed straight back telling them I had made the order or delivery. 2 days later no reply from email, haven't received the goods I paid for and the customer service department is only open Monday to Friday 9 to 4. By the time I try to ring them on Monday I will have been waiting 5 days. Website says delivery should be next working day. I have also found another DIY who provided these goods cheaper.

My order was placed on 8 April 2015, at 9:50 in the morning, we paid for next day delivery and the transaction amount has been debited from my account. As of the 11th April we still have not received our order. Two emails have been sent to customer services with no reply and a telephone message has been left on their answering machine and as yet again no response.

When I ordered the compost the order stated that it would be delivered the next day. Instead I was sent an email on the day it was supposed to be delivered at 4:17 pm to state that it would be delivered 7 days later! The landscape gardener was waiting to lay down the compost

Ordering on line was easy. Timer stated on line was approx 3 hrs to order, before next day delivery was guaranteed. Ordered in good time,and was told via e-mail, that the package had been despatched. Have not received the paint I have been waiting for? Very dissapointing considering I had not bothered to buy a similar paint from B&Q. Instead myself and the good lady had gone by the word of the e-mail stating the Paint would be delivered on Friday the 3rd. Sent e-mail to maxwells, no reply. Phoned up Maxwells on line query number on Friday at 15.45, they close at 4pm. But the answering machine said that they had closed and would re-open on Tuesday the 7th. Still waiting on Saturday the 4th, and Sunday the 5th. Alas hope it comes on Monday the 6th, I will be shocked if it turns up on Tuesday the 7th or not at all? Please can someone from Maxwells reply with a confirmed ETA and an explanation. Very Poor Customer service, Not even a word that there would be any delays. Would expect Delivery charge of £4.99 to be refunded and compensation, as I am a first time user! Tarlochan

As Maxwells had lots of orders, they could not fulfill mine for the next day delivery I paid for. As it was the Easter weekend I was informed by Maxwells that their success meant I had to wait 4 days. My response to their apology email was: "I am unimpressed to be told that as a result of your business success I am to suffer by not getting the delivery service I paid for. You blithely apologise for the fact I shall have to wait an extra 4 days. You received my order at start of business, yet did not email me of your failure until after 1800 hrs. I assume you accepted my order and money when you knew you would fail to deliver. Your apology is meanlingless." I know things go wrong, but their attitude is "the customer can suffer". Appalling.
