Order Reference: 24959 (WEB24959). Having ordered this on Tuesday evening and paying for delivery i received an order confirmation saying: Delivery Method: Next Working Day Delivery It is now Friday and this has still not been delivered. This was purchased for the Bank Holiday Weekend and I'm am very disappointed. My first experience with Maxwells DIY has been very poor and right now I'm unsure if I'll every use you again or recommend. A positive response from yourselves and I'll give you another go - because mistakes do happen.

Not very happy. I ordered a hinge on March 31st an paid £4.99 for next working day delivery. It's now April 3rd and I still haven't got it. The only thing I have received is an e-mail asking me to fill in a customer satisfaction survey!

I placed my order on Tuesday 24th March 2015 for next day delivery. I received an e-mail to apologise and tell me that the delivery would now be on Thursday 26th and received an e-mail to say that my order had been DISPATCHED on Wednesday 25th. I did not receive the order on Thursday. I telephoned today (27th) only to be told the item is OUT OF STOCK and would get it by Wednesday 1st April ! I don't understand how an item that is out of stock could possibly have been dispatched. I cancelled the order .

Order placed on Tuesday, for an item clearly shown as "In Stock" and available. I paid extra for "Next Working Day" delivery, a service which is prominently advertised on their website. It's now Friday. There's still no sign of my item. Customer service emails are ignored. Maxwells DIY, you are the WORST!

Would not recommend this company as they ignore delivery instructions they requested on their website.Too much hassle trying to retrieve parcel from unknown neighbours when address label stated PLEASE LEAVE AT BACK DOOR IF NO ANSWER FROM FRONT DOOR.

I order some wood dye at 12.14pm on Monday 23rd March 2015 for next day delivery (delivery £4.99) and today is Thursday 26th March 2015 and still not here! I have rung Maxwell's numerous times since Tuesday and when I've eventually spoke to someone to be told it is with courier, will be today, will be tomorrow etc... etc... I've rung for minutes and nobody has answered or they have answered and cut me straight off. One woman sounded annoyed I was complaining!!!!! I'm still waiting for Maxwells to ring me back to let me know what's happening as I still don't know when the 'next day delivery' will arrive, if ever, so will probably have to buy it elsewhere and tell my unhappy customer (I'm a builder) that I can't finish her job this week. Thankyou Maxwells, I won't be using you again!

Having placed an order on your web site (order 23832) which showed the products were available I paid extra for 2 working day delivery and the Web site said that if I placed the order by 4.00pm which I did it would be delivered on Tuesday. On Wednesday (today) we have not received anything so I called your Customer Service number to be told that in fact it wasn't in stock and that you have an estimated date for delivery to you from your supplier of Tuesday next week. The worse thing here is that your Customer services said 'Oh the web site says its in stock when it isn't'. I said this is deceptive isn't it and she said 'Yes it is'. Such a blatant admission that you know you provide false information to get the order is in my view quite some condemnation of your name and business and its ironic that I haven't received my order but I have received your feedback review form. Should I not receive it by next Wednesday I will be looking for a full refund/credit to my account/card. Mr E Barlow Mobile 07917 283284.

Avoid this company at all costs! Customer service lacking, first item was damaged and then the delivery of the replacement never turned up despite me chasing and being promised calls back. They blamed it entirely on their courier and failed to take any responsibility themselves! Not an acceptable level of service. Funnily enough, they couldn't arrange a quick delivery of the replacement item yet managed to be very quick at arranging a collection of the damaged one! Atrocious!

Order placed Wednesday - expected delivery Friday ( Next Day ) Did not receive until Monday. Customer Service very poor - didn't answer any e-mails when I asked where my parcel was. Stay away!

I ordered a bag of lawn sand from Maxwells and they sent it without any packaging. When it eventually turned up after 4 days (not next day) the bag had two corners missing one which been repaired, a big slash down the middle. The upshot was a 20KG bag had only 2KG left in it. I sent an email enquiring if they could send me a new sack. No response. I tried to call them to discuss the problem the phone was engaged all morning. So I was stuck with a faulty product. Not good.

I ordered two folding chairs, which I had to hunt down on the internet. I was so pleased to find them. My order was acknowledged, money taken from my credit card. However, there was no follow up to tell me they had been despatched. Only when I contacted Maxwells DIY did I get told they were out of stock and unavailable. They did immediately put a refund on my credit card, but I wonder if they would ever have noticed if I hadn't contacted them??

Would not have bought if seen 1st (1 disadvantage of Internet). 1 fence panel damaged, another made to wrong dimensions, ground spikes wrongly described, 2 mornings off work for late delivery. Communication good until I complained! Told would get refund, never came. Never responded to email. Won't shop again with Maxwells, very disappointed, Dave

Ordered on the basis on next day delivery but when I checked the tracker my order hadn't even been despatched the next day. Given the high charges, I'd expect a much smoother delivery experience.
