TOTAL SCAM. Do not trust them to deliver what you order!!! not only did they send me the wrong timber with the right dimension written on the packaging to try and dupe me into signing for the wrong order , they then had the nerve to tell me that the size timber they had sent me was "in tolerance" but if i did actually want what i ordered and payed for,I would have to pay an extra £17.50. Have informed trading standards

As stated on the smooth timber listings, the wood is nominal sizes which means the wood is 25x25 when it's cut. When the manufacturer plains the wood, it will lose between 2-5mm. We did offer to cut wood down to the exact sizes but as we stated at the time, there would be an additional charge as we had sent the exact item you had ordered.

ordered 17 lengths of 25mm x 25mm par softwood , they deliverd 20mm x 20mm ....way to go !! has held the job up till they can redeliver, they had clearly written by hand in pen that it is 25mm x 25mm ...total scam...like i dont own a tape measure...buyer beware

Very dissatisfied! Ordered paint, £50 order. Paint arrived smashed and leaking. Ruined my kitchen worktops getting the spillage out of the box. I was refunded the next day... and a whole week later, the £50 was stolen out of my bank account again! Making my direct debits bounce for which I was charged. So I got no paint, a ruined worktop, and had £50 stolen, plus fees on top now. All through no fault of my own. Very very unhappy customer.

Hi Racheal, Our team does not have the facility to take payments as all card transactions are taken by SagePay and we do not have access to any card details to ensure all our customers are protected. Upon checking our systems we cannot find a second transaction and all evidence was forwarded to yourself by our customer service adviser when your complaint was first raised.

I will never shop at Maxwells again.took my order then after 5 days informed me they were out of stock..They still have them advertised in there shop window.

I ordered on line 21.9.18.with a delivery within 3/5 days i contacted Maxwells on 26/9/18 to be told the order would be delivered hopefully next week the web page should read 3/5 weeks as this is nearer the mark... on top of this i cancelled the order and wasted a weeks holiday waiting in... never again

Purchased fence posts on the 8th Aug. Received order confirmation and further email stating goods dispatched (economy delivery) on 9th Aug. 16th Aug still not received my goods. Rang their office , receptionist stated goods had not been scanned ( whatever that meant) . She apologised and offered next day dispatch but could not guarantee delivery for 2 days later (the Saturday ). What a cock up. Set my garden project back no end. Now I'll have to go and search for a more reliable company. Grrrrrr. Quick return of funds back to my pay Pal account though.

Having been told delivery would take place yesterday between 9-4pm still awaiting delivery. After contacting them yesterday was promised delivery within a 1 hour span today. 8.30 am received a call from maxwells stating they hope delivery would now be between 10 - 1 pm. Extremely disappointed with service

Ordered a two pack of Miracle Grow liquafeed that was in stock. Transaction went through, then a couple of days later got an e-mail informing me that the order had been cancelled and a refund given. Disappointed, if the item isn't in stock, don't sell it!!

I have not received my order and On speaking to customer service was told there was a delay that it would be with me Thursday or Friday of this week that I should have received an email explaining this but I never received such an email, unfortunately until I receive my paint I’m unable to give a positive review

Although the delivery was very good. I think I was sent the wrong gravel as the colour of the stones were not like the picture even when washed they were more dark, dull grey/blue colour so didn't go with the other stones that I have. Very disappointed

DELIVERY DATE shown on the internet is not what happens also the door I ordered stated solid oak 4 panel half glazed and I ordered it prefinished. Instead of the 1 day delivery to store as shown on the internet it took a whole week for them to deliver the wrong doors to store and I was advised by the staff in store that they were not solid oak so requested an immediate refund. They were quick on one thing though as when I stressed these errors they have removed them from their online stock

Terrible customer service for online purchases. I contact customer service to ask why there is delay in sending my parcel by UKmail if they can check on this for me. However, the customer service email says I have the wrong tracking number. So I check tracking number provided in this email from customer service, check online, but the tracking number gives information that parcel has been signed by someone random, I am unfamiliar with. So, I assume the number I had to begin with was right, and customer service email was incorrect and belongs to another customer. Tried calling the Maxwell online services number, but says their office now closed, despite saying they are open 9am to 4pm. Very frustrating.

The order was not delivered on the day promised. No phone call or email received. It was delivered the next day but was the wrong size. 2 foot panels were ordered but 3 foot were sent. I was told it would take 4 days to replace as it was now Friday and Tuesday would be the earliest. As I was already late due to the late delivery I accepted a small refund but requested the customer care manager contact me. This was confirmed by a member of customer care by phone and email but no phone call from the person in charge. Poor service and customer care.

The order took two days longer to arrive than stipulated. One of the laths of the gate was split. I was asked to remove the split lath and they would send a new lath to replace it. I asked them to make sure the nails for reattaching the lath were sent. The nails were sent but were too short to go through two planks of wood. They did not believe me when I said they were too short and I had to send a photograph to prove they were too short. Terrible service all around. I guess you get what you pay for.

They were nothing like the pictures online of the products, some of the pales were coming adrift, some were cracked, general workmanship was sub standard. I was so disappointed i stripped them down took them all apart and rebuilt them, I would not recommend the products.

poor delivery service and poor customer service. They kept saying they were going to deliver my order and the courier company they use DX never turned up. I complained to Maxwells they didn't seem bothered. I asked for a manager to contact me but no one did. The fence panels and gate were damaged when delivered. I rang Maxwells and no body got back to me again. I strongly suggest People don't buy anything from this company you will be bitterly disappointed. Shame on them.
