Extremely poor service. The delivery date was moved twice, which resulted in wasting taken time off from work. Additionally, the request regarding the vehicle was not taken into account, so my husband had to help the delivery man with his broken back. The worst experience I have ever had.

What went right??? Item ended up out of stock to start. Came back in a day later. They missed the courier twice. Then when the item arrived only one of them arrived the other had been damaged. I cancelled the replacement. I will not be using maxwells again.

Ordered a basic door.Web page said next day delivery.after 2 e mails told delivery 4 days later then after arranging day off work received phone call to say can't delivery for another week !!

Order not delivered, company say they emailed to say why, but no emails arrived, they then say they can deliver but 4 days later !!! absolute rubbish customer service, wasted day staying in and cost of a joiner for half a day waiting to fit a product that didnt arrive, will never use again.

I paid for some worktop scheduled the delivery and 4 days later when they came to deliver it they didn't have any left! Left my project in a right mess. They are terrible to deal with (online) nothing is straight forward and non of their systems seem to work.

Original order made to be cancelled a few days later on the basis door out of stock, rang up the following day to be told the doors are in shock?? Re-ordered and given a date of today 26th Jan as delivery, have taken off valuable holiday to house sit and wait for delivery. 2-45 order still not arrived hence rang office to enquire the whereabouts of delivery to be told that it has been delayed and won't be delivered till Monday 30th. Shouldn't I have been told of non delivery and very disappointed it is me contacting Maxwells rather than the other way around. Customer service???? I now need to cancel builders tomorrow and re-arrange! Very disappointed having been a customer on numerous occasions previously and having nothing but praise for the company.

i orderd some pea pebbles then i got a email to say i was getting a refund no explanation,of why or nothing, very disapointed with maxwells will not use again

Some of the goods arrived damaged and I imeadiately through your system complained and asked for replacement. This was ignored

Not received item yet money taken. No reply to numerous emails sent. I am not happy and will be contacting trading standards if things aren't resolved.

Can only describe them as hopeless. Item due between 22 to 24 November, worktop leg required for a kitchen refit to support breakfast bar. Chased by email 24/11 and 25/11 and no response to either. Spent 32 minutes waiting on the phone 25/11 to be told there are none in stock, should've received an email to advise me etc etc and will arrange a refund. Had to go out to my local Wickes to buy chrome instead of the brushed nickel we expected, needless to say it doesn't match the kitchen, but at least the job got finished.

ordered my door and paid for next day delivery, nowhere did it state it was a special delivery, i waited in all day to see an email saying it would not be delivered as it had to be ordered, then waited in again on the next delivery date, to receive another email saying it had been damaged and had to reordered, therefore leaving me paying for next day delivery waiting in 3 different days, and only being contacted via email, services not good enough. The door was also delivered on the back of a pickup, i dont think this was an ideal way to deliver a door with 6 glass panes in it!!!!!!!

Our doors are not sold with a next day delivery service as they can only be sent around the North East via the Maxwells DIY drivers. This service is 3-5 working days. The order was placed on the 26th of October and delivered on 2nd of November.

Everything that could. See bullet pointed below. - Ordered Next Day Delivery, Didn't arrive on the next day - Waited 3 days, Still Hadn't arrived - Called Customer service was told i was going to get a call back. Never did. - Had to call on day 4 to get the order canceled and a refund. -Not had one apology for the service, the fact the order never arrived or the lack of communication. - I used to work for Trading Standards before moving on to owning this company and i have said if i didn't hear communication back, i would be reporting you on your 'Next Day Delivery Service' Which is falsely advertised.

I had a delivery of loft flooring last Friday 21st Oct. two of the packs had some damaged boards.I emailed Maxwells and sent some photos I had taken and got a quick response to say that they would send me a replacement pack on Monday.Nothing arrived on Monday so I emailed back to cust. serv. on Tuesday .I got no reply so I emailed again Thursday and got no response.I have not been informed of any delivery.After an initial quick response from Maxwells they dont seem to want to know.

Everything. I ordered a tin of paint and paid for a next day delivery. I waited - but you didn't send it - nor the next day. Then you said it couldn't be delivered until the next week. I needed it the next day - because of the weather - to paint my roof. So I ordered it from Amazon and it came the next day - without having to pay expensive postage.

I ordered a tin of Ronseal gloss varnish in error. I received an email from Maxwells stating, "The payment for your order 61424 (WEB61424) with http://www.maxwellsdiy.com/ has been processed successfully. If you have any problems please contact us by replying to this email." I immediately replied asking to cancel the order. The next day I received notification of despatch. No notice was taken of my request. When the tin was received it had been well packaged with tape over the lid to stop it from coming off. I liked that.
