I bought one packet of seeds, for which the postage charge was outrageous, in my opinion. I cannot, unfortunately, remember exactly what it was, but it was something like £2, for one envelope and a stamp. How can you justify this? A pity, because otherwise the service was good.

Thank you for taking the time to place a review and we will consider your comments at the beginning of next year. Our charges are £2.95 on any orders under £37.50. Over that there is no charge. We do say on the website and in the checkout process what the charges are. We are aware that most of our competitors have a minimum add on charge for small orders of about £5.00. The cost is not just to cover the cost of postage but also the cost of processing and handing an order. We will though consider if we can make a smaller charge for orders say under £10.00. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I apologise that the Bluebells were damaged in the post. We send planting instructions with every order and I have now e-mailed them to you. If you find in the future they do not arrive, all the information is on the website. Or if you contact us we will be happy to send you the information. Tim Evans Managing Director

Great price for bulk buying but I had a poor germination rate for several of the seed varieties I purchased.

Very good germination from the clay soil mix, but heavy on plantains and short on first year flowers. Having said that, the sparrows and bats have flown around more so the new wildflower bed is certainly attracting more insects.

Thank you for taking some time to give us some feedback. The WWILD5 mixture for clay soils has 20 species in it . Field Poppy and Yellow rattle are annuals and we would expect that the Poppies should appear in the first year. Generally with perennial wild flowers it is from the second year that the meadow starts to develop and you see more of the other species. If these fail to materialise next summer then please contact us and we will see if we can help. Tim Evans Managing Director

I thought the costs were competitive and delivery good but the variety of flowers was not good-was looking for several different species to give a nice colour spectrum but seemed to get only one species of flower

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. The mixture sown, our cottage garden mix, contains 2 annuals and 6 perennial species. We would have expected that you would have seen the two annuals this year and I am sorry that only one grew. The perennials should start to come to the fore from the second year onwards. the horse herbs worked well but the wildflower mix only produced thousands of dandelions - did comment at the time.

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. The NH04 wild flower seed mix does contain dandelion amongst a number of other species. Some of the other species take longer to establish. We are going to review the mix at the end of this season. Tim Evans Managing Director
