Maisonwhite.co.uk were established in 2011 operating from their retail shop in Colchester, Essex. They have recently relocated their store to Benson in Oxfordshire where they sell a fabulous range of fine homeware and gifts, including soft toys from key brands such as Jellycat where they stock a growing range of loveable childrens toys. Other key brands for the home include Parlane, Voyage Maison and Dora Designs, as well as leading brand candles and diffusers. They have become a key ecommerce retailer selling their gifts all over the world to thousands of happy customers.

“Very nice cushions and delivery was prompt. Pity the cushions can only be spot cleaned and have a feather filling which I don't like but they were the only ones I could find in a suitable colour. They look good on my recently reupholstered sofa bed which is emerald green so I am very pleased. They are excellent quality.”

“Bedding is very nice. However I waited over a month for it. There was a delay with a cushion that had not been received by Maison White & instead of delivering the bedding in a separate parcel they waited for the cushion to arrive. This was not made clear to me. I had to send at least 5 emails to find out what was happening. In the meantime the bedding was reduced but I had paid the full price for it & the cushion. Although Maison White eventually sent both the bedding & cushion after over 4 then 5 weeks for the cushion I felt the responsibility for the delay was not really acknowledged. I had to do all the asking about where was my order? What was happening? I will not use Maison White again. Considering the money I spent, I did not find it a satisfactory experience.”

Hi Jacqueline Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear you feel that way. I will ensure your feedback is sent to the relevant people. In response to your points made I have reviewed the emails and can see they were mostly replied to within minutes , I could find 3 emails where you had asked about updates to your order, I am sorry if 2 or more others were missed (there are a few more emails from you saying "Great. Thank you very much. Kind regards" these were not replied to). I do appreciate you had to email requesting and how that must have been very frustrating for you, but the emails with questions were not ignored. We will look into our process for keeping customer updated more frequently, even with no news. We understand this is important. Michele let you know about the delay at customs "Please note these cushions have been held up in customs and are now due approx.. 14/3/25", unfortunately this is out of our control. You acknowledged and we advised at that point we said we could send the bedding prior to the cushion. This is not what we usually offer as you opted for free economy postage/delivery option, for this option we will not normally split orders, but we made an exception as you explained you felt frustrated, so the order was released and posted to you 1st class, unfortunately as the warehouse was busy it took a few days for your order to be processed. I cannot see any difference in price since you purchased. The bedding you purchased was already on sale at £50 from £65 (you had paid £50 per set) (https://www.maisonwhite.co.uk/product/orla-kiely-criss-cross-stem-basil/), and is currently still at that price, same for the cushion which is and was £30. Of course if I have got this wrong please do let me know. Again, thank you for your review and time leaving your feedback and we are sorry for the unsatisfactory experience.
