“Returns process does not work. Emailed Returns for a returns number and was sent link to Returns Service. Opened link and completed form asking for order number and post code. Response "order no and post code could not be found". Tried to contact by phone. gave up after 15min.”

I am sorry you found the process difficult. The order number required, as highlighted in the instructions, is the one that commences with the LETTER "O" from customers invoices. If an incorrect order number is entered an error message will advise the order cannot be found. The Customer Care Team

“Order 3 off LED cabinet light units which arrived within 24 hrs. 1 off light unit was incorrect type and not acceptable. Poor Customer Service. It is automated with no chance of speaking directly with an operator. Have sent email as instructed. It will take up to 3 days to get an answer to this problem according to an automated email response, plus additional days to correct order.”

“Light I bought was ok so far, could have come with a cable so will now go and buy some. Time consuming. The service is ok if impersonal. Who uses Hermes must be mad or lucky in my experience.”

We are an online retailer and orders are placed and processed electronically thus there is no personal intervention unless an issue is raised which I cannot see that there was with your order. “Delivery of a light fitting within 2 days of ordering....on a Sunday....was excellent. The product and price both very good and as described on line. I am extremely happy with the product and service.......with one small exception. The fitting instructions were poor and would be very difficult to understand without a good deal of electrical knowledge.”

“I bought two of the 45W eco LED battens for the garage to replace fluorescent lights and incandescents bulbs. Even at 4000+ lumens, I wasn't sure they'd be bright enough. They are bright, I completed the set up with two more. It's like four light sabres in the rafters. And even at 3 - 5 days delivery they were here in two days. Good service.”
