“Wanted some charcoal and logs for my Ooni pizza oven and I have to say they are excellent. Despite the cold weather we had a successful evening of pizza cooking and a lot of that success was down to the quality of the fuel.”

“Very fast dispatch and delivery, packaged well in a nice sturdy box! Not sure yet the additional cost over Birch I can get locally is worth it but the Beech wood definitely does burn for longer. I will see how I get on with them though :)”

Hi Matt, thanks for the review! Beech over birch is different gravy in my experience, not just the burn time but the fact it creates lovely long lasting embers for a base heat... but of course we understand that home delivery definitely bumps the cost up! Watch out for birch as a HUGE amount of birch firewood sold in the UK is imported, even when sold by "local" merchants. “Always a fantastic friendly service. The firelighters are really the best I've ever used, having first used the smelly fuel lighters (wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now!), then a few other 'natural' varieties that fell apart. They're used in our log burner, dans le fire pit, and how could I forget the Kamado Joe. They really do keep the heat and burn hot for a really good while. I was initially recommended to Love Logs by The Smokin Elk (Dan), and I can truly see why! May push the boat out and order some matches next time as well!! (last of the big spenders) :o) Thank you.”

The firelighters take a little getting used to compared to wood wool but they're genuinely so much better, so much more consistent, so we love hearing this feedback! “I ordered these logs for use in my offset smoker. They are a perfect length. I split them down further as my smoker works better with more regular smaller splits. I've used other logs in he past and there were too many unusable logs due to knots and odd shapes that proved difficult to cut and split. These logs were all usable. They were also well seasoned. I'll be buying more of these logs. Probably exclusively. Thoroughly recommended.”

I don't know how geeky you want to go, but we buy high grade woodland timber to make it nice and easy to split, whereas a lot of smoker wood is produced by tree surgeons taking trees down in people's gardens, so that's the difference! “As ever fantastic service from Heather and Paul, delivery came 24hrs after order and the product is top notch.
