“Very useful thanks. I checked out that the people were on the government's website and I think you should suggest that everyone does this to reassure themselves. Also, some surveyors want to add VAT to the price quoted but others do not so the price comparison is not accurate without this information. Nevertheless, as I said, a useful resource. Thanks PS What does 'submit as the L' mean?”

“I needed two EPC surveys carried out, one in Morpeth and one in Nuneaton. The former was done by Allison Jones of Greenlight Surveys, and the latter by Daniel Wallis of Midlands EPC, and I have no hesitation in recommending both surveyors. However, the first surveyor I tried to contact for the Nuneaton property, Graham Clough of epccheapest did not return either of my phone calls despite my leaving voice messages nor did he respond to my written messages. Presumably the name of his company is accurate insofar as he costs nothing because he doesn't do the work!”

“I was pleased to find LSD as it gave me a clearer idea on what the cost of an EPC should be. Quotes from recommendations by some estate agents who had come to value our property were considerably more expensive. After filling on the initial request form I had 5 emails from companies interested in carrying out the EPC.”
