“I can give a proper evaluation when I have recived the service I was looking for. At this responses received were very prompt, but needing a number of further emails and calls before being clear on whether suppliers' insurance matched my insurer's requirements. The site may be able to improve by having some questions on building surveyor insurance limit required by the home insurer.”

“Local Surveyors Direct helped me to find a surveyor, so that was really helpful. But I wasn't given the option (via Homeowners' Alliance website) to get quotes for a Homebuyers' Survey, and only realised the quotes weren't right for me after receiving lots of quotes for a Building Survey.”

“The process was quick , and responses were fast however this only reflects response to an enquiry . Also there were only a few in the list for my area one of whom I have used before who were quite slow at carrying out the work even though paid up front. Many of these companies are unable to give a set date when you pay , so you can be waiting some time .”

“I think you have provided very good service as far as I can tell but you've asked for this review when I've only had a chance to speak to one person. However, it seems he will do a good job for me. I got more responses to my request than I expected but I'm not sure it was clear to them that I ONLY need help with a planning application, not any other architectural services. It's interesting that the firm which will probably end up helping me was not one of those I contacted myself but one which got my details from you.”
