“Direct was very good at finding me a structure engineer but they didn't bother to phone me back or took ages to answer the ones that did answer straight away I was very impressed but they couldn't help me so thank you to those who didn't waste my time 😊”

“Useful to compare costs for basic requirements such as EPC and Gas safety checks. I don't use it for more complex jobs where the contractor needs to understand the requirement and I want to choose them on the basis of how well they will work with me.”

“We were debating whether to have a survey on a bungalow or fix what minor problems I could see once we purchased. Thank god we did! The surveyor found £15,000 of major (hidden) issues. We asked if the vendor would reduce the price, a very adamant no! We walked away and saved ourselves a headache. The service was excellent, the surveyor we chose was very knowledgable, polite and slotted us in mere days before exchange, although he didn't disclose any issues prior to payment he hinted to hang fire on the purchase.”

“I had one response. The surveyor appeared professional and reliable. I also had a follow-up call following his site visit and a detailed estimate. It is now a matter of deciding whether I want to go ahead with the proposed project. However, I wish to have more than one estimate to compare.”
