“Mr P J Morris From Irlam Grt manchester quoted me £150 supply &fit 36 amp socket for duel fuel cooker start date 10 Nov 22 did not turn up , I phoned him 9.30am he said he was on his way to Southport & driving i said will he ring me back that night. not heard from him since. 16 Nov 22 now so not very good.”

“Disgrace having companies on here with false reviews! I used a company off here which was GME- Greater Manchester Electrical who are without a doubt the worse service I’ve ever used, conmen comes to mind… quick to reply to get your business then never hear from them after chasing them several times for official results, personally I don’t think they attended my property to carry out works…”

“Absolute nightmare, non stop landline callers and emails! There should be an option to avoid that and instead visit a single web page to view the various quote suppliers introductions etc.”

“Really poor service. I asked Viking surveyors for the qualifications of their surveyor and a copy of their insurance, but neither was ever provided. I can only assume that their surveyor is not qualified and that they do not have insurance.”

“It read that I would get local quotes for price comparisons. Maybe you don't mean that but it's how it read to me. Instead, I got approaches from all over the country, most of them saying if you get in touch we can do a survey and quote. NOT what I wanted. I can search for an architect in Newark myself if I want to. But I don't!”

“Put in the address of the property to be surveyed, five companies sent a quote straight away, two being Gold Crest Surveyors and Cosey Homes Chartered Surveyors. Followed the link and booked a survey with Gold Crest, only to be told the following day, “they don’t cover that area”. That begs the question who give a quote when you know the address and even allow you to book a survey ? The following day before I booked a survey with Cosey Homes Chartered Surveyors I telephoned them and asked if they covered the area. Yet again despite knowing the address and giving a quote they said they didn’t The site is useless !!!!”

“I was told no one was available in my area for build control inspections yet seem to be getting messaged by various companies anyway. I used this site years ago for a build survey. The greedy surveyor took the job despite being overstretched and only managed to get me the survey report the night before I moved. A total disgrace leaving me in a poor predicament. Not recommended”

“I asked how much is planning permission for a dropped kerb. Only received one reply telling me how much they would charge to do the plans. Not what I asked”

“After several phone calls and emails began to wish I hadn't filled in the form. Only one quotation to do the test and replace the fuse box, who wanted £650 and 50% deposit up front another asking for a photo to quote, which I did but no response back. Gone elsewhere.”

“I got bombarded by 12-15 calls and emails following an estimate from this lot. Make sure you opt out (although you shouldn't have to) of them passing on your details direct to surveyors”
