“Easy to use, submitted my details and got lots of prompt responses almost immediately. Did accept one of the offers and had a L2 Homebuyers report within a week. The costs for services were fairly consistent, but look out for the one or two who are significantly under-cutting the others. My experience was that initial offers are roughly in-line with each other, but subsequent offers can be quite a bit cheaper, so I would suggest holding out for them. I had quite a few companies re-contact me with discounts varying from 10 -50%.”

“Cosey Homes were professional and approachable. They were immediately responsive and their friendly admin team explained my options very clearly. I arranged a full structural survey and the report we received was extensive - fully comprehensive and informative. I was very impressed. Wouldn't hesitate to ue this firm again in future.”

“After performing a search, the majority of surveyors who contacted me were not neccessarily based locally, but could send a local surveyor out. I was bombarded by texts, emails and calls from several companies - I feel that my contact details should not be shared automatically and I should be able to pick and choose the companies I want to contact for further details.”

“I had no idea of where to look for a surveyor as for the first time I wasnt getting a survey with a mortgage. Really simple processto use this service and an instant response from the surveyors that came up. Unfortunately several of the campanies were really over the top with their contact with me, another refused to confirm that the building survery would be level 3, but the company I finally went with, Viking Surveyors have been excellent, no fuss, no bother, went through and checked my requirement for a level 3 was really required - very professional and very helpful”

“We are very pleased with the website as it helped us to find a good value Surveyor. The Surveyor then offered us additional discount if we booked by the end of that week, which we did. All other quotes received were much higher. The surveyor then arranged for the inspection directly with the estate agent, so it was all very easy for us. Now having received the Homebuyer's report, it has been very useful and informative.”

“The site said that I should expect the quote to include vat, but could be subject to change on checking. I got 3 names - the first confirmed the price, but said that it did not include vat. The second confirmed their quote by email (they used the word 'confirm') but then sent a second email, with the same wording and a 30% higher price. They have refused to honour the first quote that they confirmed. The third name quoted a much higher price and I have not contacted them, or been contacted by them. The failings of the surveyors are not of course the fault of the site, but they should be doing more to ensure that the quotes are what the site says they should be.”
