“I was harrassed for days after using this service. They gave my details to EVERY surveyor on their list (not just the top one or two like other comparison websites). I was phoned and emailed and sometimes both by all the companies. Would not reccomend putting your information in here. After all that, even the cheapest quote was surpassed by our mortgage provider so we didnt hire any.”

“Very few of the local surveyors appear to be registered with this site. I got three quotes from my enquiry. One of those companies rapidly became a nuisance by not simply supplying a quote via the site but emailing and phoning in quite a pushy manner.”

“It didn't work for me. The property's location was quite clear, one surveyor quoted me. Two days later they said they don't cover that area. Don't quote then. The property didn't move!”

“Bombarded with calls and emails weeks and weeks after filling in my details, mostly from companies 100s of miles away. Not one local independent surveyor. A complete waste of time”

“There clearly isn't any integration between this aggregation site and the surveyors. Even though we had provided the full postal address and an online link to the property, two of the respondents came back with links to properties in different towns and the other three all asked us to provide the full postal address of the property. Consequently we ignored all the respondents and just did the online search directly without using any aggregation service. The feedback question below about time to reply has four options for under 12 hours but then jumps to over a week with nothing in between, that's too big a jump, there should be at least one more option.”

“Countrywide. Decided to book them as fee was £300 for a level 2 survey. Great when booking and paid over the phone. I had no confirmation as to when the survey would be done so chased them up a week or so later. I was then advised they did not have a surveyor in that area so would reimburse what we had paid. Annoyed because this is a delay and I have gadcto obtain another surveyors who I might add have organised our survey within a day and are looking to do next week WELL DONE WHITEHORSE SURVEYS”

“Whilst your surveyors may be good at surveying, the ones I tried had a very poor grasp of contract law.”

“I did get a good few replies quickly but not a single one related in any way to the criteria I had posted. Most were also big National or regional companies. I wanted someone local who would know my area and it’s quirks! Some were v quick to reply but we’re the least relevant to the needs I mentioned! I found several local firms one of whom has done the job very well indeed. Can’t say I recommend your service.”

“Surveyors who made contact did not seem to provide the level of survey requested. Instead they quoted for a lesser detailed survey!”

“Not much help. I didn't want a standard survey but that was all your site allowed me to ask for. Only 2 firms replied, neither of which was anywhere near local to me. So I didn't respond to either of them. Waste of time.”

“Local Building Surveyors were no use to me since no-one is willing to provide a valuation (not a survey) using the form prescribed by the Church of England Pensions Board.”

“Disappointed with our surveyor. All above board and thought everything was fine until we finally moved into our new home. The ‘A star rated’ patio doors which are ‘brand new’ (quoted from the report) were siliconed shut. They are not able to be opened. Likewise we’re a few of the PVC windows. Lots of things were rated as green that are actually broken/need repair. Disappointing that you spend £500 ish for a surveyor that can’t be bothered to do their job.”

“Sad that in every case the offer price was not matched in reality. And that some of the surveyors continue to bombard you with emails even after a polite no thank you. The site is a good idea but to work well for the customer it needs a database of professional surveyors rather than grasping salespeople.”

“In theory this service works. In practice it doesn’t. I had 2 responses and neither one could assist or offered the service required. Wouldn’t use again.”
