“My enquiry resulted in immediate emails and phone calls from several companies. Some of them very persistent before I’d had chance to review the quotes. Some companies seemed to drop the price quite sharply, and offer ‘special offers’, which somehow made me feel they were more gimmicky and call centre sales companies, rather than professional surveyor firms who do a proper job, which is what I really want.”

“Used the RICS website to find a local surveyor. Before I could look at the outcome I was bombarded by emails from surveyors wanting me to choose them. All I wanted was a list that I could look at and make a choice or further enquiries as necessary.”

“Excellent service very good Survey report would deal with Tamlyns again .My only issue was having to pay £5.00 for a hard copy of the survey report on top of fees .”

“Not yet had survey done, but the service seems really useful. It threw up a good number of companies providing RICS surveyors in the local area needed. Have now instructed one, and survey happening pretty quickly.”

“The service provided by the website was excellent and quickly identified a set of surveyors who could do the work I needed. Out of the five identified by the website, four returned the contact and provided quotations. I went ahead with two, both of which did the work I needed very well”

“Our surveyor provided a clear and comprehensive report. My only criticism of the report was that all the photos in it were labelled with a number not referenced in the text, and as we had never visited the property it was often difficult to work out what the photo was showing. The surveyor was also easy to access by phone and was able to answer our questions about the report.”

“It was easy to find a lot of local surveyors using this website, however, I was bombarded with emails and phone calls pretty much immediately which I found quite annoying. I like to have the time to consider emails and prefer not to have phone calls so quickly as it feels pressurising. I was surprised at the different costs of the surveys for apparently the same thing. I did use one of the companies that contacted me.”

“Good site for finding a surveyor but hard at first glance to find a company which uses RICS surveyors, as opposed to a company which is run by someone who is certified but using surveyors who are aren't. Also, this is a good site for getting a fast quote but I would advise that you don't ask too many - they will keep coming back to you even after you have settled on one. I personally would have liked to use a more local company but the site appears to advertise companies who work in alll parts of the country.”
