“95% of the report was excellent - informative and clearly written. However, two related sections were a little unclear (4 degrees between us and we couldn't be certain what they meant) so we asked for them to make it clearer. They ignored the email and the subsequent phone call. If you don't intend to provide any follow up then don't put a line in the cover letter offering further information. Also, report took longer to arrive than they said and I had to chase them to invoice me. I wonder if this is why the sections above were unclear - were they written in a hurry because the report was overdue? I suspect Bowcliffe are usually better than this but on my experience alone I could not recommend them.”

“Found the process expensive and not fit for purpose , he did not enter the loft due to access restriction , Gave vague recommendations eg this is an old building would recommend a structural survey (did not say why ) . Anyway I was not impressed , so I asked a builder friend to have a look , he gave me a list of faults and how to rectify - brilliant and I owe him a beer .”

“Very useful website for finding a local surveyor. However I was a bit too ahead as I'm not quite ready to instruct a surveyor yet and so I didn't appreciate all the immediate phone calls trying to sign me up! I have kept all the information though and will use it at a later date once offer been accepted.”

“I emailed several surveyors in my local area to try to minimise potential costs, but the first few RICS surveyors who replied just told me they didn't value residential property, it would have been helpful if that was clear in the listing I viewed.”

“As a search tool to find a Surveyor this was very good. I did however find that the final Survey I received from the Surveyor I chose rather non-commital and I doubt would be any use in case of an issue.”
