“Easy to use interface for achieving results quickly and finding an RICS surveyor. However, the surveyor we eventually ended up engaging as a result of using the site provided a highly unsatisfactory survey and we are still awaiting resolution to our complaint almost two months later.”

“The website was useful, gave me the information I needed to locate a building surveyor for a homebuyers report, so would give a 3. Sadly that’s where my positive feedback ends on this review. I have nothing but negative feedback for the surveyor chosen. Wouldn’t even give the individual a score.”

“Called me to talk about my enquiry which was good, most expensive quote but I thought the service would be better. Was advised to have a homebuyers survey. Felt the survey didn’t really tell me anything I couldn’t see myself. Just a tick box form.”

“The website service to request surveys worked well and I received 5 quotes quickly. The surveyor i selected (daviesrural) initially responded well and performed the task in good time. Unfortunately service then disappeared. It took 4 weeks of reminders to persuade her to send us an electronic report and another week (and reminder) for a hard copy. Of the many reminders sent the only one she replied to was when I included "at least have the courtesy to reply". A shame because I think she actually did a reasonable job.”

“I received a list of 3 quotes for local surveyors for my HomeBuyer survey. The 1st said that the quote was wrong and it would cost me another £100 according to their scale -I declined. The 2nd said it could only do it after 3 weeks and that the price wasn’t from their website, so they’d send me a new quote -I declined. Luckily the 3rd, agreed with the quoted price and conducted the survey within 3 days!”

“Whilst looking for a Surveyor I visited this site and though called "LOCAL" Building Surveyors this not necessarily the case. Most of the services offered say 'We serve your area' but they are not local. To me Local means within 10 to 15 miles whereas almost all the proferred surveyors were 60 or 70 miles away.”

“Immediate provision and reasonable choice of local surveyors; price varied quite widely for similar service. One very pushy company who kept calling to tell me that I must book early as "appointments are filling up fast for next week". (I used another surveyor)”

“I found communication from the company poor. Appointment for survey was changed with vendor as surveyor had to collect someone from airport. He was apparently at the house for approximately 30 mins which I understand is not considered sufficient time. Did not get report for 10 days as his child had apparently been in hospital. I feel this survey was a waste of money and not completed thoroughly. Very disappointing!”

“I was not prepared for the 50 odd phone calls emails and texts I was barraged with - it was just too much in the space of a few hours. I am still receiving quotes months later - I wouldn't use this service again”

“helpful site BUT so difficult to select a Building Surveyor - competitive prices, identical qualifications so eventually put a pin in the list - company arranged to send a surveyor to the property next day - excellent - he telephoned later that afternoon - very helpful - afterwards submitted a good well written report - in our conversation, became apparent he was a local guy from up in the Midlands -no problem except that the telephone call was somewhat longer than expected - discovered he was a fellow pupil of the school i attended over fifty years ago!!!”

“Bit disappointed, as I was contacted by only two of the five surveyors, and one of those was miles away up Country, and I thought that this search site was for local surveyors. However, the local company that did contact me I was happy with, and I have gone with them.”
