“The website was rated as being acceptable as it only provided one surveyors details. It would have been nice to have been supplied with a choice. However we did use the suggested surveyor and were satisfied with his report.”

“Useful service. Easy to navigate site. Clear results. Was NOT made clear on site until after my info was submitted that my contact details were shared with surveyor companies....I have been inundated with follow up and sales emails, phone calls and text messages ever since.”

“I had people contact me straight away, but not too sure which were the right ones for me, very strong salls ethic. The one I chose didn't really give me what I was after and did cost quite a bit of money.”

“Fine as a site for finding a surveyor where instructions adhere to a fixed set of rules. Asking for the surveyor to discuss specific needs met with opposition, no deviation from the rigid set of Conveyor belt rules. I was not buying the property through an estate agent and this presented enquiries not being pursued. Very much machine like with little personal contact. Had I made an offer, through an estate agent agreed a sale then needed a report, the site might have worked! I had to seek a surveyor the old fashioned way of a phone and explaining my needs to a surveyor!”

“Took forever. Kept having to fill out forms once we'd paid the money, we expected to pay for survey then they'd go off and do it. I wouldn't bother again because of the initial admin and having to repeat myself. Survey itself was reasonably detailed with photographs.”

“Found the service to locate surveyors in my area good but the surveyor used was poor - impersonal service and missed a major issue with the roof of the house we bought which has now cost us a fortune to fix. Maybe ensure the surveyors who have proven good reviews to come up on the search?”

“The website was fine and we found a surveyor through them which was reasonable and well completed. It was not clear to me however that my details were automatically being shared with companies and one of those companies then sent me a significant amount of marketing, contacting me daily to ask if I wanted a survey. I did not.”

“Easy to use interface for achieving results quickly and finding an RICS surveyor. However, the surveyor we eventually ended up engaging as a result of using the site provided a highly unsatisfactory survey and we are still awaiting resolution to our complaint almost two months later.”

“The website was useful, gave me the information I needed to locate a building surveyor for a homebuyers report, so would give a 3. Sadly that’s where my positive feedback ends on this review. I have nothing but negative feedback for the surveyor chosen. Wouldn’t even give the individual a score.”

“Called me to talk about my enquiry which was good, most expensive quote but I thought the service would be better. Was advised to have a homebuyers survey. Felt the survey didn’t really tell me anything I couldn’t see myself. Just a tick box form.”

“The website service to request surveys worked well and I received 5 quotes quickly. The surveyor i selected (daviesrural) initially responded well and performed the task in good time. Unfortunately service then disappeared. It took 4 weeks of reminders to persuade her to send us an electronic report and another week (and reminder) for a hard copy. Of the many reminders sent the only one she replied to was when I included "at least have the courtesy to reply". A shame because I think she actually did a reasonable job.”

“I received a list of 3 quotes for local surveyors for my HomeBuyer survey. The 1st said that the quote was wrong and it would cost me another £100 according to their scale -I declined. The 2nd said it could only do it after 3 weeks and that the price wasn’t from their website, so they’d send me a new quote -I declined. Luckily the 3rd, agreed with the quoted price and conducted the survey within 3 days!”
