“We chose Little Folks because it seemed sturdier than other brands we viewed online for a similar price. I'm not sure what makes the beds "for kids" other than the design. Perhaps it's because the slats are solid wood slats and not bouncy like adult single beds? Nonetheless, we are very happy with the purchase. I'm not the most handy and I read reviews that the bed was tricky to put together ("not as easy as Ikea"), but in reality, it was very straightforward. It's sturdy and perfect for our 6-year-old son.”

In terms of why the beds are for kids (as opposed to grown ups), I suppose it is simply because historically, we have spent many years designing children's beds and we discovered that there was a gap in the market for well designed and made beds for children. As you say, our beds are very sturdy and we pride ourselves on our design and testing processes. Of course, in reality our bed designs are perfectly suitable for adults and children alike, and we do have many customers who end up using them as guest room beds after. “We ordered our little one her first 'big girl bed' from Little Folks Furniture and were really pleased with it. We chose the Fargo Carved Heart bed with trundle, and also added on the pocked sprung single mattress - we rang up the day after to add this on, and the man we spoke to on the phone was really helpful, friendly and accommodating in sorting this for us. We chose the 2-man delivery to room service. The website advised that delivery would be within approx 2-3 weeks, and we received the bed and mattress together less than 2 weeks from ordering which was a bonus. The delivery company emailed us and also rang to confirm the delivery date was suitable. On the day we got a text confirming the delivery window and they also rang to let us know when they were nearby. The chaps delivering were friendly and took everything straight upstairs for us with no problems. The bed and trundle were well packed, easy to build, with great instructions - someone has really taken the time with the instructions to think about how they are read, so there is both a diagram and words explaining it! It was really quick to put together, and feels really solid and well built. The mattress is also really comfortable, and would recommend this too. It's made a huge difference to our little one - she was complaining her old toddler bed wasn't comfortable enough, and she absolutely loves her new bed and has said how comfy it is! We would highly recommend Little Folks Furniture - well made, lovely quality furniture and friendly staff to speak to if you need anything or have any questions!”

“Excellent customer service throughout. I could always get straight through to someone on the phone when needed. The Fargo bunk bed and trundle we received are of a very high quality and worth the price. The mattresses are again high quality with great support but comfy too, my children sleep extremely well in their new beds. We had our beds assembled too, this was done well and worth the extra money.”

“Right from the start, the company were helpful and gave sound advice regarding the product and delivery information. They were extra helpful regarding the idea of delivering to Scotland in a tight timeframe prior to Christmas which based on previous experience with other companies, I was dubious as to whether it could be accomplished. But I was astonished when after less than a week after ordering the Fargo small double bed with under bed trundle bed, that the delivery company could deliver within 2 days!! Amazing!! And we couldn’t have been more delighted with the end product. The Fargo is well made and beautiful piece of furniture that will last us well into her teens and provide lots of sleepover fun! Many thanks to you guys for making Christmas!”

“Brilliant, the high sleeper bed in penswick blue is extremely high quality in every aspect, even the slats. Customer service went above and beyond to get it to me in time for xmas after another company let me down. They called me, emailed me with updates. You definitely get what you pay for, a beautiful bed a brilliant company to deal with.”

“I ordered the classic beech bunk with the trundle , i must say that this is a solid bunk bed, very sturdy and looks premium quality. My two boys love it, they are 6 and 4 years old. The ladder rungs are really wide for easy climbing. I have done alot of research and looking around different retailers for a good solid bunk, in the end i went for this one, as i wasn’t too convinced on the mediocre bunks that were available, not cheap either. This product isn’t exactly cheap, but i was willing to pay good money for good quality, beechwood over pine any day. The paint work is smooth, not sure on the longevity of it, but the finish is at a really good standard. I ordered 2 high bed pocket sprung mattresses, i must say i had a lie down and it is comfy. The only negative i would say is that the distance between the 2 bunks is only 70cm, which means not too much room for a bigger child, but my 4 year old can sit comfortably without his head touching the top bunk, and my 6 year old can also sit up but his head gets close to the top bunk, with that said, make sure you get the high bed mattress if you do decide to buy mattresses from little folks as these are only 15cm thick, which is perfect without taking away any comfort leaving just enough room. I would highly recommend.”

“I purchased two Fargo single beds for my children. The quality of these items are amazing and well worth the price. I also purchased the trundle to go underneath the beds as l have limited space. These trundles are huge and able to hold all my children’s clothing with extra room to spare . Overall l am very pleased with my items from Little Folks Furniture and do recommend them.”

“Very good service from order to delivery. We opted for the 2-man delivery and they contacted us timely and delivered to my daughters house at the time agreed. The bunks (classic beech with trundle in dove grey) are really solid and extremely well made. Our grandsons are delighted with their new bunks and as the beds also separate they should last many years.”

“I’ve built more flat pack furniture than I can remember and it’s something that I don’t look forward to. They usually come with poor instructions, or the fittings are a struggle and the whole structure is flimsy. I honestly can say it was quite enjoyable building the bunk beds for my grandchildren. The quality of the materials and fittings were very good as well as the instructions. A very sturdy piece of kit that my grandchildren love 💕. Thank you Littlefolks .”

“After shopping around for ages and not being happy with with flimsy-framed bunks elsewhere (including at high-end stores), I bought bunk beds from here for my girls. Absolutely solid, well-made, lovely looking beds. Absolutely delighted with them! I don’t usually write reviews but even two years on I can’t fault these! No creaks, nothing. I am writing this review as I recently moved house and through no fault of the company I split one side of the base of the bed when dismantling (was dropped). I called up to ask if there were any spare parts as I love the beds so much, I didn’t want to replace them. Oh my goodness- the after sales service is absolutely FIVE STARS! Not a problem, the gentleman was more concerned with making the bed safe for my children as the side was a supporting structure. Not a problem to help me, spare parts were made and sent out quickly at a very decent cost. Put it all together yesterday- absolutely perfect. Can’t thank this company enough. If you want beautiful but safe beds for your children from safe hands - this is the place to buy! I wish everywhere sold a product this good and the service before and after sale is just excellent! 100% recommended!!!”
