The lights are blue not white as expected. Also for extra big lights them seem very small. Did ring to say not as expected and was told. I could return for full refund but after paying postage not worthwhile

The items were of reasonable value but were delivered piecemeal with incorrect or in some cases no explanation as to what had gone on. Had to cancel electrician as the goods were not delivered when promised and were clearly not in stock despite the system saying they were.

Poor response when calling to get advice about garden lighting I had bought which was not compatible with a slightly older version of the same system. Waited 4.5 hours for them to ring me back, despite ringing three times to ask for an urgent call back.

I am sorry you were unhappy with the lamps you chose. The beam angle is clearly marked on the webpage as 30deg which is a medium beam if you want a flood you need to be looking for a beam angle of 35deg or more unfortunately this particular lamp only comes in this size. Good products and competitive prices but their delivery systems are haphazard and their communications demonstrate they have no idea where their packages are. Buy from them if you have no time delivery requirements and are willing to spend your time trying to track items and are able to be home 24/7.

Appalling amount of packaging. One lightbulb in a box which would easily have held 70 of the same bulbs, bulked out with plastic inflatable pockets. What a disgraceful waste.

phoned to ask why i had not had delivery and was told the item was out of stock and the web page would have stated this when i purchased the item. I informed the sales assistant that it had not stated that the item was out of stock. my account had been debited but no delivery was planned.

Not as good as usual. Product was very poor quality. I've bought lights over the last 2 years from them and all have been very good. This new set of lights feel and look very cheap. However cost 70 for three lights.

Product arrived damaged despite being extremely well wrapped with bubble rap which suggests that whoever did the packing did not check the contents of the cardboard unit container.

The order was sent out in separate parts with out this information being communicated clearly to me although the separate items did have an email alert to say that they had been dispatched the dispatch note did not specify which item it was and the deliveries were spread across two weeks this was incredibly inconvenient and for this reason I would be hesitant to use lighting direct again.

Billy, I am sorry that you did not feel you had been informed about your partial shipments, we do clearly show this in your basket and also on your order confirmation email which you should have received once you checked out. If you did not receive this information I can only apologise. It is always our aim to ship an order complete, however when there is a long delay on some products then we would part ship for the customers convenience. The light arrived with broken glass, as I had booked an electrician to fit it the next day I decided to get a new piece of glass cut by a local company. The cost was £9.50. The outside wall lamp looks great but I will have to seal the glass panes to make a light waterproof as the glass fit is not tight. A delivery company that takes more care is required, your packing was faultless.

I'm sure that the lights will be great if they ever arrive. I suggest you use DPD, UPS, Amazon all who can and do deliver next day unlike Hermes who seem to take at least 2 weeks.

Delivery costs to Guernsey are really extortionate - use the Royal Mail for the same cost as the rest of the UK unless it's a very large or very heavy parcel. Insisting on using Fedex to Guernsey is ridiculous - give people a choice of a low cost postal service otherwise we can't use you... Even worse, the light fitting arrived with quite a number of small scratches on the metal parts but because of the cost of re-delivery to Guernsey it is far too expensive to return it for replacement so now stuck with a scratched light fitting.

You should always contact us to discuss a faulty or damaged item, we will endeavour to replace the item or offer some form of compensation. The order for your picture light is both confusing and misleading. The two battery item 4276 on the invoice 11041171 indicated "Ultra Bat AAA 4 Pack 1 pieces £3.18". On item 4278 is showed "Battery C pk 2 1 pieces £3.18". I received 2 AAA batteries in one pack and 2 C type in another pack. Both were inadequate to light the lamp, so a further expense of £13.50 for 6 C batteries had to be made for it to work, therefore the quote and invoice were misleading and another 6 batteries had to be bought. Also the use of Pk and Pack on two separate lines is inconsistent and also confusing. The total invoice value showed £74.60 when the actual value was £88.11, (apart from the cost and inconvenience of driving 4 miles to a town). These descriptions were therefore misleading and "misrepresented the sale" representing an increase in cost of 18%.

We feel that having a plastic type shade was wrong hence will go in recycle bin . Such a shame as chrome light base is fantastic ,was well packaged and arrived as promised.

I was trying to add light bulbs for my new front door lamp order, but I couldn't. The click and add link wouldn't work. So I contacted Lighting Direct and left my contact details...2 days later I received a return email asking to ring them, I did but no-one picked up so I left my details (again!) after being prompted by the answerphone...no one has called. I received my lamp, with no bulbs so now I will go elsewhere for bulbs. The lamp, is gorgeous, shame about the customer service.

The advertisement states next day delivery, in fact the light was delivered some three weeks later! They kept me well informed which made me rate their service to two stars instead one.
