The organisation for booking the house and the information provided subsequently through a answering a number of questions was excellent and rapid. Please note that on the website the key facts state there are 3 family bathrooms but the description under bed rooms fails to mention the second family bathroom on the first floor. In terms of the house itself, while very good it looked tired with many lamps out and in need of a deep clean (it needs a bit of TLC). That said it was well equipped, particularly in the kitchen but it could do will more bowls for mixing and storage (possibly we challenged the kitchen equipment by trying to cook for 11 on Christmas day and 14 on boxing day!). We also had a an incident on Christmas day when the large bath in one of the 1 st floor bathrooms filled the adjacent shower trays (in the same bathroom and the en suite next door, when emptying. The house keeper seemed unaware of this and in addition the tap for the bath had a shower attachment which was not fitted or blanked off so that if the lever was in the wrong position the water came out of the shower leg of the tap onto the wall. Luckily there was a strategically placed wooden shelf that allowed the water to run into the bath not down the back of it! Not what one would want to happen on Christmas day! One the TVs did not have remote control making it difficult to operate and the sky system did not seem to work. All this was reported to the housekeeper. All in all we had an excellent time and none of the above distracted from our enjoyment of the house.

This was a great venue for a pre Christmas celebration for four extended families. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds - everyone loved the unusual layout of the accommodation. The kitchen was ideal for preparing meals for 19 adults. Excellent location for countryside walks and Christmas markets. On a minor point we had brought logs for the log burner but the flue was cracked - perhaps a recent issue? Overall we wonder if we will ever find such a good property for future reunions!

Good selection of houses to choose from. Good customer service in the booking process. Lovely house - nice extra touches like milk, wine because we were a returning customer.

They have very good properties on the site and I understand all the homes interiors have been designed by Kate & Toms which is impressive - wonderful interiors. Always very prompt and efficient at coming back to emails and responsive to questions. However, there was not a lot of communication with the housekeeper. I gave all the info to Kate and Toms and then the housekeeper got in touch to ask me the same questions. Marsden House is absolutely glorious. A dream Cotswold home and exquisitely decorated and furnished. outstanding. Loved the bedrooms - all impeccable. Gorgeous bathrooms. Could not fault it. Only consideration is the kitchen utensils. A house like this really needs more basic amenities -there was no kitchen roll, foil or cling film. Limited bowls, serving plates etc. Also no table linen. Little things like this would make a big difference. Also we ran out of hot water when everyone was showering - would be good to make us aware up front that we need to stagger showers due to hot water tank/immersion etc. In fact, a house like this with the cost that it is shouldnt really run out of hot water.. not sure if the heating was on timer which it shouldnt have been. Overall amazing stay and amazing experience. Thank you

I dont think that it was particularly Kate and Tom's that made us happy. It was The Moult that made us happy! A fantastic property for a large family and friends gathering to celebrate a milstone birthday.

Once I spoke with someone the service was very efficient and helpful. I have downgraded to a 4 as my initial email enquiry wasn't dealt with as quickly and I had to chase it up with a phone call.

Derwent manor was beautiful, grand in parts yet still cosy, a bit shabby in places but that mainly gave it an air of faded grandure. Perfect for my 40th birthday party. On the whole we had a wonderful time. The only real problem was that there wasn't enough hot water for everyone too have a shower or bath at around the same time which was very disappointing before the saturday evening party . One guest had to have a cold shower as she needed to wash her hair and a further 4 had to go without washing entirely that evening. Not exactly great start to a black-tie dinner. Even if had been a warning so that we could have staggered our showers more might have helped. Though really I do think everyone should be able to a hot bath or shower whenever they feel like it. Minor niggles were: some rooms didn't have complimentary bathrobes and slippers. One room ran out of toilet paper (only one roll provided). Room 9 had a very dusty floor (I left footprints in places!). Being really picky a bottle of children's pump action shower gel is not really the type of toiletries I was expecting to be provided. They definitely detracted from the atmosphere of luxury we were hoping for. Though better than nothing I suppose.

We're always polite and helpful. Answered questions quickly and booking was straightforward. The only down side was not being able to pay by credit card.

Lovely spacious house in quiet countryside near many recreational activities. Plenty for children and young people to do within house and grounds. Comfortable large beds and plenty of bath/shower rooms. Well equipped farmhouse style kitchen.
