“My interaction at John Charcol was with a very experienced and knowledgeable person by the name of Lisa Gilsenan. She assisted me with the whole mortgage process from start to finish up until the mortgage offer was approved. Lisa Gilsenan, is a very helpful individual and I highly recommend her as an experienced mortgage broker and consultant who provides an exceptional level of service. Communication with Lisa exemplary and of the knowledge of the overall mortgage market with lenders was of the highest standard and quality. He has always been helpful, knowledgeable, professional and timely in all the dealings we have had with him. “I recently had the pleasure of working with Athavan Vallipuram from John Charcol, and I couldn't be happier with his service. Athavan's expertise and dedication made the whole mortgage switching and remortgaging process smooth and stress-free. He always kept me in the loop whenever a new and lower mortgage rate came up, giving me all the info I needed to make smart decisions. Thanks to his proactive approach, we reapplied for a lower rate about five times, making sure I always got the best possible interest rate before my existing mortgage ended. I was in touch with Athavan for six months before my deal ended. Being an active person, I did my own research to start at the industry standard time. While I can't speak for the entire John Charcol team, I do think they were on top of things because Eniko Kormendi (Client Relationship Manager) would step in when Athavan wasn't available, and they kept me informed. It was between siriusfinance.co.uk or John Charcol, and the team at John Charcol won my business because Athavan's emails felt genuine and not copy-pasted. Don't get me wrong, Athavan probably has many preloaded scripts, but he used them in a way that felt personal. His professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out. I highly recommend Athavan for anyone looking for top-notch help with their mortgage needs.”

“Heather McLennan - Partner - "Simply Outstanding Service!" & "Overage Clause Champion!" Growing up in the 80's the phrase "Who you gonna call?" was answered by everyone shouting "Ghostbusters!!!" If someone asked me who you gonna call to sort your problematic mortgage.... i would be shouting "Heather McLennan at John Charcoal!!!" Wow... I simply can't thank Heather at JC enough for her insight, skill, knowledge, time and commitment to the curve ball that I laid in her lap, which was a last minute 'overage clause' that got thrown into our house move literally weeks before exchange. When we thought our house was rapidly disappearing into the ether because we had no chance of finding a mortgage provider weeks before exchange, Heather took the challenge completely in her her stride, calm, reassuring, friendly and with such a commitment to service, updating regularly with pretty well daily progress options and a plan of action that I welcomed her call ! I cannot recommend John Charcoals services highly enough, but if you want a personal recommendation for someone who can deal with those challenging mortgages or property purchases that you think are unattainable, then ask for Heather... because "if anyone can.... she can!" I won't use anyone else now. Thanks Heather you're AMAZING !!!”
