“The products arrived on time and were well packaged. They are fine except for the fact that the decorative finial I bought for the top of the newel post was made of blocked oak rather than solid oak - i.e. made from 2 pieces. This means there's a very striking stripe right across the finial where the two different pieces are very different colours. It's very annoying and is not as pictured on the website. I emailed the company via the website on the day but heard nothing back at all. I was disappointed.”

“I WAS GENERALLY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE AND THE PROMPT DELIVERY. I DID HOWEVER HAVE A SPECIFIC COMPLAINT THAT I WROTE TO JW ABOUT, BY EMAIL ON 28 SEPTEMBER. AMAZINGLY, TWO WEEKS LATER, I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE COURTESY OF A REPLY. VERY DISAPPOINTING. THE EMAIL IS REPRODUCED BELOW: Hello, My delivery arrived today, Monday, which was very prompt and the goods were well packed. The handrail and brackets are just fine but the end caps are unsatisfactory. One pack was obviously odd stock, the packaging was damaged and the fittings a little scratched. More importantly, all three sets of caps are completely different shades/hues. I tried to capture this on the attached photo but it hasn't really come out. The different colouration of the old stock ones is not altogether surprising as the broken packaging would have allowed air in. However the different colour between the other two is marked and I am surprised it has passed the attention of your QA people. I simply can't be bothered going through the palaver of returning them. I am installing three separate short lengths of handrail, a little away from one another, so I'm hoping that when erected, the difference will not be too apparent. Also when exposed to air they might change a little. I just wanted to record my displeasure. Regards, Colin Harman”

“Shame that wrong items were sent. Everything should have been brushed nickel. All fittings were OK but both rails were stainless although paperwork said nickel. Can't a van be sent out and swap them for the correct nickel finish.”
