Ordered and paid for 14 sheets of insulation and 1 roll foil tape on 26/9/22 , 9 days later still no goods , constant emails ,phone calls and web chat to agents still not arrived not even a delivery date, .Have now received e mail stating that no roll of foil tape in stock so have not completed order. Please think very carefully if you are going to order from this company as full of excuses. My advice to any builder ,contractor is use a different company,

Hi Joel, Thank you for your review. As mention in our previous product review response, if you had notified us of any issues that you had with damaged boards, we would have replaced them for you immediately. Unfortunately, plasterboard is very delicate and can get damaged on delivery easily. In most cases it is fine and there are no damages, however sometimes dings during loading and offloading can happen, and we try to minimise this as much as possible. Regards Insulation4less

Ordered bricks after confirming availability, was advised delivery time of 2/3 weeks,I placed the order on that advice and made payment,I was then advised that they could not provide the bricks as they did not have them,I requested a refund ,3 days later I still await that refund, My point is I confirmed the availability of the bricks prior to making the order and if they did not have them WHY TAKE PAYMENT

Very poor customer service, did not turn up on delivery date. Had to take a day off work the following week to take delivery. Was told numerous times they would call me back when I chased for an update and I heard nothing. Would not recommend.

Hi Iain, I do not think your review is very truthful. Delivery was scheduled for 09/06, you advised us that nobody would be at your delivery address on that date so you requested for it to be rescheduled to 10/06. We removed delivery for the 09/06 and we were fully booked for the 10th with no delivery slots available, so we rescheduled for Monday 13/06 which was the next earliest date we had available. We informed you of the new delivery date which as it turned out did not suit you either and you asked if it could go back on for the 9th, but unfortunately, that slot had since been filled and we could no longer schedule for the 9th. Your order was delivered on the 13th as advised and would have been delivered on the 9th as originally planned if you had not requested to change the date. At no point were there communication issues as each time we received information regarding your order we communicated this with you. We would not call or email you if we did not have information. Hi Karen, Sorry, your items were delivered to the incorrect address that was about 100 meters from your house. We have however been informed by the occupants at that address that you did pick up your order the following day. I would have to disagree with your comment about our customer service. They went above and beyond to try and locate your order and get it to you and rectify the delivery mishap. When they did locate your order we told you where it was and asked if you would like to collect it as it was just 100m away. You point-blank refused to collect your order which was fine and understandable, so we issued you with a full refund immediately. So it is interesting to find out you did collect your order before you posted this review and after your refund was issued. Regards Insulation4less

Why the low mark is that the simple order which was late was also the wrong thickness instead of 40 mm they delivered 60 m and cost me expense re contractors and never offered to compensate

Avoid unless you love hassle. I have placed my order 5 days ago.Today they told me some of the items were not in stock also they wanted to charge me £65+Vat for delivery despite me being eligable for free delivery on website. Now I am waiting for my refund that can take up to 7 working days. My project has been impacted due to poor handling of the order. Please dont do the same mistake as I did. Dont count pennies for poor company and order from reputable company.

Hi Rashit, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, for us to keep our delivery costs to a minimum we have to have strict requirements on road access for delivery. It seems that access to your property was too tight for our large lorries, which are the size of a double-decker bus. As a result of this, we would need to send your order on a smaller dedicated van which is more expensive and not our standard form of delivery. Hence the additional fee for delivery. We try to keep our deliveries as efficient as possible so that we can get all our deliveries done on time and also in a cost-effective manner. Our delivery processes have allowed us to keep our delivery costs down for our customers thus saving our customers money on their order. We try to offer a 1 size fits all for our customers online but in some cases where there is tight access, an additional fee is required to send your order on a smaller van. This 1 size fits all approach works 98% of the time. I hope this helps answer with your understanding of how our delivery process works and we are sorry we could not get our trucks into your property. Regards Insulation4less

My experience purchasing from the unfortunately named Insulation4less was an excruciatingly painful one. I ordered nearly £250 worth of items in total, including PIR insulation board, SFTV, and foil tape, and paid £63.50+VAT for delivery (their website quotes £50+VAT for orders over £175, incidentally). I was very much looking forward to the items' arrival as the progress of my van build was reliant on their prompt delivery. However, little did I know that my anticipation and excitement would soon turn to bitter disappointment and seething rage... When purchasing items online, where possible I like to order multiple items from companies at the same time, so as to save on delivery fees and minimise the environmental impact of delivery. Clearly the words 'carbon' and 'footprint' must be absent from the Insulation4less Dictionary, as I was told my order would arrive in two stages. 'Give them the benefit of the doubt', I thought. How wrong I was. I was notified that the first of my two deliveries - the PIR board - was due to be delivered at X time on X date. I ensured that someone would be present at the delivery address to receive the items, kindly asking if they could work from home that particular day. I myself was attending an interview at the time and, upon checking my phone afterwards, I was aghast at what I read: to my horror, two messages informing me that a) the delivery had not been successful and b) I would be charged £50+VAT for a failed delivery. Not one to be taken for a fool, naturally I challenged this preposterous proposition. Without going into too much detail - one detail I will admit to was that the phone number given at the time of order was an old one - I was effectively told by the not-so-helpful Gavin that my contactability (or lack thereof) at the time of delivery was sufficient justification for the driver to give up, have a cig and drive home. (Reminder: £63.50+VAT for delivery). I argued that the driver should have done more to locate the address (not least entering the correct address into their satnav) and presented the fact that even had I given an up-to-date contact number, I would have been unreachable due to being engaged at the time. Alas, despite my protestations at being blackmailed for the £50+VAT charge, my request to have the charge waived and the items redelivered free of charge fell on deaf, uninterested ears. Incidentally, by some miracle, the not-so-environmentally-friendly second half of my order arrived shortly afterwards. Was the second delivery driver a navigational genius? Was this an act of God? I can't say for sure. All I know is £63.50+VAT doesn't get you very far in the world of Insulation4less. Re the failed delivery charge, I asked that Gavin escalate my complaint to his boss, the even-less-helpful Stephen. Bombarded with the obligatory references to clauses and T&Cs symptomatic of a disinterested jobsworth, it became apparent that the smallprint in the company's automated emails would David my Goliath of a case. Like the biblical giant, my argument fell, and I was prepared to concede victory. But what's this? Horror! Stephen proceeded to cancel my order without my instruction, rubbing salt in my already stinging wounds. Mortified at the prospect of enduring this whole saga for nothing, I had to act swiftly to un-cancel the cancellation, lest my efforts be in vain. For once I had some joy and, using initiative that Odysseus himself would have been proud of, I decided to collect the board from the delivery depot myself. What's that saying about wanting a job doing yourself? Having made the 90-mile, 2.5-hour round trip to Liverpool and back, I finally had my PIR board - win! My victory notwithstanding, the fact remains that Insulation4less' quality of service is some of the worst I have come across and typifies the lack of customer care that so many companies are guilty of. Unfortunately, I know having read all of Insulation4less' responses to negative reviews that they aren't taken kindly to, and that my own review will most likely be met with similar derision and hostility. Any such response - which I anticipate will include terms, conditions, clause references, etc - will only further my argument that Insulation4less do not understand the fundamental principle of 'The Customer is Always Right', and that common sense should, in some cases, prevail. Of course, if Insulation4less were to offer me a voucher worth, say, £50+VAT+fuel costs as a token of apology for this inconvenience, I would consider deleting this review. Until they do so, I will rest easy in the knowledge that the reputational damage and loss of revenue caused by this review will heavily outweigh the £50+VAT they saved to spite me and 'win' this war. Somehow, I don't think I'll be revoking it anytime soon...

Lied to about having the stock before checking multiple times with them. Goods took from Oct to Jan to arrive causing us major delays to our project resulting is a lot more costs. Refuse to take accountability for lying to their customers. Avoid this company.

Hi Abi, Thank you for the review. My understanding is that your order has now been delivered. We would like to apologise for the delay with your order. Unfortunately, the material you bought was actually out of stock when you ordered and we were not notified until we requested for the order to be dispatched. Typically, if that material does run out of stock it only takes a few days to get it back into stock, but with delays due to covid on shipments it meant our lead times on material arriving from the Sheepwool manufacturer got pushed out. We have offered you a discount off your next order with us which will hopefully go some way to offset any disruption you may have experienced. Regards Insulation4less

Charged half the total order price (£300) to return items based on spurious ‘restocking fees’. I believe this is against consumer contracts law and have reported to trading standards.

Ordered 15 x 50mm insulation boards. Pathetic service. Delivery driver claimed he could not get to my address so just left without delivery. INSULATION4LESS then informed me I would be subject to a re delivery or a cancellation fee. No,no. Spoke to a really inexperienced INSULATION4LESS customer representative, who, when challenged about the non-delivery, decided to hang up on me. Joke. Because I had paid with Paypal i opened up a claim immediately and explained the situation. Insulation4Less then refunded me in full. Funny that. Moral of the story here - DON'T USE INSULATION4LESS Really weak business.

Hi Russell, As you are aware, we did try to deliver your material for you on the day it was scheduled. You were notified of this delivery date on multiple occasions via email, text and by phone. As you did not answer your phone on the day of delivery, our driver then moved on to another delivery as we cannot hold up other customers deliveries. All our drivers will call ahead to ensure there is someone around to receive their order. They cannot wait around all day for someone to arrive. Your aggressive behaviour over the phone to our team was nothing short of disgraceful. Shouting down the phone and abusing sales staff is no way to conduct yourself. You were informed of everything prior to delivery, and it was you that did not ensure you were around to receive your delivery. As a result, your order had to be redelivered and this incurs a cost. Your unwillingness to accept any responsibility for your actions between not being available at the time of delivery and then your aggressive and abusive behaviour over the phone really says it all. I think this behaviour must bring on alot of trouble and agro in your life. You opened a case in Paypal after your refund was signed off. We then informed you, that for us to complete the refund you needed to close the case because we cannot perform the refund when a case is open. This all happened in and around the same time. We happily refunded you in full the same way we would with any other customer, however in this case we were more than happy to refund you. As of from when you were refunded your account was deleted from our website and closed and you will no longer be able to buy from us again. We have never done this before from our over 2 million customers. So consider yourself 1 in 2 million. I think that says it all. For our customers reading this review just read all our other reviews and then make your decision who is right and who is wrong. We do not tolerate anyone abusing our sales team like this customer did. Especially when they are at fault. Regards Insulation4less

I bought only one of these as part of a larger purchase of other insulation. As it was only one sheet, Insulation4Less obviously saw the opportunity to get rid of some old stuff they had lying around. The board was totally filthy, scratched, damaged along at the edges and visibly old as the foam was brown from exposure to light. I ordered it to finish a project so returning the board was not an option as it would have caused delay.

Terrible customer service. The aluminium tape I ordered (and paid for) still hasn’t turned up 4 weeks after the Cellotex was delivered. Insulation4less are blaming the courier, and have made no effort to follow up on the missing items, re-send or offer a refund.

Very disappointed, quality of product was terrible. Tried to complain and was offered £10 back when 40% of the boards were damaged and couple out of 10 were water damaged as well. Then you have nit offered any compensation yourselves

Slow delivery, pleasant driver, good were second hand, off a site by the looks. I was desperate on timescales so accepted them. Asked the company why they were recycled goods when I paid new price. No reply. Customer service shocking.
