“i-to-i offer a thorough and professional TEFL course that is well set out and presented. While I found it challenging, there is plenty of material to call on. I am 180 hours into the full 300 hour Level 5 diploma, and expect the rest of the course to be in line with the first section.”

“It has been an amazing roller-coaster ride, as I have acquired so many skills, ideas and a rude awakening of how much is involved to be an effective teacher. It was like a new adventure with wonderful memories. The notes are beautifully set out, and as a content writer I've learnt a lot. The staff members I 've had contact with, have been absolutely amazing.”

“I felt that the course was well constructed and flowed in a logical order, building up nicely to each of the assignments. The addition of videos and additional materials were very helpful, as were the quizzes at the end of each unit. The course felt very much like a lesson plan in it's own right. The feedback from the tutors for each assignment was constructive and encouraging. My confidence in myself to be able to enter the world of teaching has greatly increased following the completion of this course.”

“I love how all the information is presented. The material does not overwhelm you. Academic help is available but I was so well prepared by all the material provided that I only had to use this during the latter part of my qualification. I thoroughly enjoyed the practical classroom which I attended in Durban. My teacher was Lisa. She made the classroom so fun and she was extremely creative. I was so sad when the practical did end. We were taught so many valuable skills and it really helped me in completing my assignment as well as gaining confidence of what I am to do in a real classroom as I had no experience at the time. Thank you to the i-to-i Team! My only ever disappointment was that hard copy print certificate is not included in the cost.”

“I finished the Level 5 - 180 Hours TEFL Course a few days ago and I enjoyed all 10 chapters of it. It is such a well-written course and there is so much valuable information to grasp that I used to find myself reading it out loud and then taking notes and just simply enjoyed what I studied. I feel like I have learned not only how to properly plan and structure a lesson, but also how to write a good rationale and of course, the most interesting part - how to prepare original classroom materials suitable for the learners' age, cultural background and English learning motivation.”

“So maybe its not for everybody. But the whole course is very blend, because its so obvious and straight forward. Its also very over the top, over explaining and over complicating. Its a typical old school way of teaching, drowning in rules and taking the fun out of it. The 3 exercises you get are very blend, not difficult but just blend and mostly nit picky. Creativity is not allowed, and you have to agree with their methods to pass it. You have to follow every step up to a point where you just ask them what they want you to write so you just copy that and everybody is happy. Not that you learned something but at least you followed the rules! The rules are very annoying, for example if you included pictures in your exercise than you actually have to hand it in with pictures. Even though its completely pointless because its not for real students. Everybody knows what a park looks like. So if you than cant upload the pictures because their website doesnt allow big files than you really get very frustrated. In the end i just deleted this entire part from my exercise just to get around this. The tests at the end of each chapter are very because they are very obvious. Only specific terms or their view of things are maybe things you need to look up. So first i was motivated to write down everything etc. But in the end you just skip to end and click through the exams and thats it. So all in all i cant say i learned something. Mostly of how not to do things or how to chase away your students or make them fall asleep. Because the way of teaching is so boring and over the top explaining things. Almost treating the students like they are stupid. I dont like this way of teaching. So personally i am happy its over but never again! The customer support is friendly and helpful but sometimes a bit over the top, so you can feel the fakeness. They just clarified the things but basically it came down to “rules are rules”.”

As an Ofqual regulated online course there are certain criteria all students need to meet to pass their assignments.
