“This was the 180n hour TEFL course. I have taught U/grad and Post Grad engineering for many years but this course showed me the huge differences when teaching English. There were some old concepts that I knew but there were many new ideas and approaches that were enlightening. I am a naturalised English speaker with several journal papers and books to my credit, but, my English is intuitive. This course enabled me to understand the rules around the language, especially the grammar and how to present it. The mini tests were good to check on your knowledge of the recently completed section but the three major assignments really cemented that knowledge and allowed the skills to be put into context. The lesson plan follows a logical sequence which exposes the student participant to increasing levels of achievement Feedback was good and there was always someone available to answer queries. During the course there are lots of references and examples to helpful web sites, books and other resources, so you are never left with no resources. I also purchased the on-line resource pack which is full of good approaches for different scenarios and also full of examples of lesson plans. Generally this is an excellent course to understand and start teaching English abroad. I am based in Andong in South Korea and hope to open my own Hogwon (Private School) soon. This course has given me the knowledge, skills and confidence. If you are looking for an overseas TEFL job, the i to i website offers lots of advice and connections I really enjoyed the course and have come out the other end with great confidence. “I took the 120 hour online course for certification. The modules are pretty straight-forward and the quizzes help a lot. I wouldn't say it is extremely difficult to complete this course, but it does make you put in work. I took my time with this course so it took me a while to finish it, but I know there are others who have completed this course in a shorter time than me. The most challenging part of the course was the lesson plan and essay.”
