I absolutely loved the course, and I found it incredibly intellectually and professionally stimulating. I think it was pitched at a great and challenging level, and it really helped me understand a bit more about teaching before I went off to teach. The only thing I would suggest is about helping with strategies for things like dealing with unexpected moments in the classroom, especially planning a lesson last-minute. There were a few moments where lessons with completely new students were forced upon me when I was teaching abroad, and it would perhaps have been helpful for some strategies on activities to get started with that give the teacher time to assess level and plan the next strategy. I am really happy with the teaching I was given across the board.

I took the course from March-May of 2013. I'm an American and I've taught ESL in Russia. I was impressed with the course, I feel like it equipped me to be a good ESL teacher. The online interface was designed well and user-friendly. I especially enjoyed the videos because they showed us what teaching looked like in action. The only negative aspect were the lessons plans that I purchased. They advertised over 100 lessons plans, but there only ended up being over thirty. Also, a few of the lessons were almost exactly the same, which didn't help, plus the printable worksheets mentioned in the lessons were nowhere to be found. Overall, I'm glad I took the course and I was able to use the principles taught on the job for fun lessons that my students liked. Some told me I was the best teacher they had ever had!

I have qualified with TEFL a year ago and find it very difficult to get a job with the qualification not even an internship job. I also tried with the help of friends and I get the same response. The following countries do not accept TEFL qualification as they mention it cannot be compared with a University or College Qualification: Oman, South Africa, Germany, Poland and Bahrain, Looking at China and Japan I received a response with lengthy interviews lasting over 2 hours which led more to casual conversations instead of interviews then got cut off afterwards and they never got back to me even via e-mail. I hope that with this information you can consider to improve on assisting your qualified TEFLLERS to at least find a job or even an internship job. In closing I think it should be made clear to employers to treat and respect nominees when conducting a telephonic interview and to consider being professional on their side. Thank you for allowing me to give my review.

The coursework material is excellent, feedback is prompt and helpful. I had problems (network) downloading the videos, which meant I didn't quite manage to complete everything before I ran out of time. I'm reluctant to pay another £50 to complete part of a module when I've already paid once.

very informative, quick responses from moderators and administrators in relation to assistance. also found the courses to be quite enjoyable in relation to to the interactive format. other features which I enjoyed were the jobs list accompanied by the manuals and help guides for particular countries a qualified learner might choose to go travel to.

The support staff is super nice and helpful and the tutors have been ridiculously fast with their grading--RIDICULOUSLY fast. As well, the comments from the tutors have been incredibly insightful, helpful, and a positive experience. I have truly enjoyed the course! Everything about the course and the website is very intuitive and easy to understand/use. Thanks so much!

When I decided I wanted a career in teaching English in a non-English speaking country, I had no idea what to expect. I to I helped me get the general concept of teaching English. It doesn't provide practical experience though. However the certificates are legitimate, so they help get earning slightly more paid, but in my opinion they don't really provide ideas that are useful to use the in the classroom. Sure you can type and believe that doing so so action is the correct way to do things in the classroom, but implementing is way more difficult than writing the answer down on an online class. Overall though I would recommend I to I, if you are like me, a person who had no teaching experience, and time to learn the basic concepts to get a slight idea of what to do in a classroom. Plus the slightly extra pay over the course of the teaching year (standard 1 year) will pay for the course itself.

So far I have found the information useful. I am currently teaching ESoL in the US. My class runs from between 10 - 25 students (depending on the session), so I am familiar with the material that I have so far read in the TEFL course. Most of the students in my class are pre-GED or pre-Secondary Education students. The only suggestions I have are, one, to provide examples on each grammar quiz so it's clear what the directions are asking us to do; and two, make the key words in the grammar quizzes BOLD and/or all CAPS so that it is easier to reference them. There were a few times I had difficulty determining which word the directions referred to. Thank you for hard work on your students' behalf!

This is a great course. Its easy to move around, but the only thing I would like to see is able to freeze my days that I have left. Lets say I have a family emergency, and I wont be able to do the work for a week. I just wasted 7 days on my Account. Being able to freeze my account, and then unfreeze when I'm ready would be awesome.

The course was very well organized, easy to follow and very helpful. I am a retired teacher. I taught 32 years in elementary, owned and operated my own preshool and tauight in the local junior college. My only criticism was that the course went far beyond what I would use in an elementary school. It was fine for my own edification but some of the subject matter would not be used in the lower grades. I do believe it was well worth the time and expense.

The weekend course was fantastic, I had really great teacher who was able to present information in a clear and fun way. The online course was good, but it is a lot to take in, especially as you're just reading through slides most of the time. This course qualification has certainly helped me gain employment as an ESL teacher overseas as I was offered the first job I applied for which I begin in a few months. It is here my knowledge from the course will really show and be put to use. Overall, I found it challenging but worthwhile and a good place to start.

Having commenced my studies as a teacher in Australian Schools, I found it extremely helpful to have had not only the experience from the coursework and lesson planning, but also having been able to have taught overseas. Most people think just because they know English that they can teach it, I myself was one of those people, but when you are in front of a class where English is a foreign language it soon becomes apparent that there is a certain skill in teaching it. The i to i course gave some great groundwork for developing an understanding of student learning when teaching abroad. I feel however that the best part of the course was the classroom practical where you could actually see how you would teach. If only this practical were a bit longer, then I'd have given the course 5 stars!

The courses I've followed were an excellent preparation to teaching in a foreign country. As to say... it gives you a solid ground from out of where you can feel confident about the subject that you are going to teach, the rest will be learned out of experience: being in front of your class. Thanks!
