I've never had problems before. However, my recent purchase was not well packaged as the main stems of the plant were snapped at the base. Time will tell if the plant survives. Either the plant needed trimming back before shipping or do away with cling film and cellotape and replace it with a brown card support which is much stronger. I'll still shop with them again but a little disappointed on this occasion.

Plant arrived on time and was well packaged however the soil was very dry and the leaves were starting to show signs of dehydration

The pots in which the plants arrived were too small for them and will need repotting soon, it’s hard to water them like this too.

Hello Masa, Thank you for your feedback, I can see you ordered some quite slow growing plants. Theoretically, these shouldn't need repotting immediately and will be quite happy as they are. Though should you wish to grow the plants in terms of their size and foliage then repotting is definitely the best option. We have passed the feedback along to our growers and any questions please do let us know. Many thanks, Your Hortology Team

Excellent customer service but sadly my plant had quite a few brown leaves when it arrived. I’m not sure if it was manhandled in transit but I’m hoping I can revive it.

Wasn’t too impressed with the soil my plant came in. It was extremely dry and thick with dried out hard mould at the top. I decided to repot and refresh with new soil straight away. The plant seems to be doing well, is a lovely big size and other than the soil I am really happy with the plant itself. Was packaged well.

I paid a fortune in postage for a plastic plant pot, that I hoped would be the right side for my pottery house plant pot, sadly it was not. The cost of the postage is too high for me to try again. Local garden centres did not have the right size either.

Bought a Peperomia argyreia, it came carefully packaged but still pretty crumpled. Decent service but didn't wow me - I would not go out of my way to use Hortology again, but wouldn't hesitate to use it if I saw it had a plant I really wanted.

Delivery was quick and it was easy to order, but the plants looked a little sad on arrival, especially the large one. A couple of the leaves had been bent back and snapped where it had been packaged and I don't think this would have happened if it had been packaged with more care.

Pot described as mandarin in colour, was in fact a muddy brown. Very disappointed.

Plant and pot were in great condition and arrived as advised. Reason for lower score was the recommended pot size was far too big for the plant and therefore did not have the desired effect on hen giving as a present.

Hi Louise, Thank you for your feedback. Although we recommended a pot with a 13cm opening for your plant, it seems you have opted for the pot with a 14cm opening. We provide the pots opening on the product page, this can be located by hovering over the size button and immediately underneath the size option buttons as each is selected. We also have a useful size guide on our site: https://hortology.co.uk/pages/plant-pot-size-guide-for-houseplants. I am sorry Kind regards - Your Hortology Team

The plant I received from Hortology was of good quality but the delivery experience was not brilliant because the box containing my plant had clearly not been kept upright by the courier despite messages on the box saying “fragile” and “this way up”. When I opened the box the plant was out of its pot and the compost was everywhere. Luckily the plant was not badly damaged and I was able to repot it. Customer service were excellent and asked for photos. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take any. I was given a 5 pound voucher in compensation. I think Hortology is a good company who looks after its customers. However, I think their shipping method and packing needs improvement.

The service is good, but not impressed at all with the pot liners. They are very flimsy, and not worth the money I paid for them.

Historically, the orders I have placed have been excellent and arrived in great condition. This time, however, the plant was not the height advertised, had broken stems, and the nursery pot was also broken. Sadly, I won’t order from Hortology in the future. 22.02.22 update - Hortology issued an apology and part refund.

Plants seemed healthy enough but packaging and mishandling by couriers meant that they arrived damaged.

Though my plant was packaged with great care it arrived very dehydrated, as though it hadn't been watered in weeks. As I removed the plastic a lot of leaves dropped immediately. I know I can bring it back to health but this has put me off buying plants online with this seller.

I was so impressed with delivery and packaging. Plant seemed to be in brilliant condition on delivery, I bought a watermelon peperomia. However its dropped several leaves daily since. I don't know if its been traumatised by travelling or its to do with a temperature change/ wrong time of year to buy.

Hi Laura We are sorry to hear your pant is dropping leaves. It may be that it has a little too much water at this time of year. Peperomia are succulents and prefer to be allowed to dry out a little. We have a care guide available here: https://hortology.co.uk/products/peperomia-argyreia-watermelon-peperomia KInd regards - Your Hortology team

I was very happy with the delivery, and quality of the plant on arrival. Well packaged and in pretty good condition. Unfortunately I noticed that the soil was rather over saturated so decided to repot. This is when i realised that the 4 cuttings had been potted up still tied together by an elastic band that was buried in the soil. This is awful as it would have slowly strangled the plants roots and lower stems as they grew if not taken out. Otherwise happy with it!

To be honest I was disappointed with the size of the plants and they are expensive compared with a recently visited garden centre
