“Driver who picked us up was concerned about taking the car up to the apartments but with a bit of persuasion he did as it would have been impossible for two 70 year olds to drag luggage up a very steep slope to apartments.
Out host had to phone holiday taxis on return to check that they would come to the apartment which they did after compromising they would bring a smaller car .
Both drivers were very friendly and drove well and spoke good English .
Overall, we were very satisfied.”
“This is my second year to use Holiday taxis. Our experience was exemplary in 2025. Wonderful driver in an air conditioned Mercedes who waited for us as airport was rammed and we didn’t reach Pria de Luz until 11 o’clock.
I was so confidant I’d receive the same experience. Unfortunately I didn’t receive email informing me that I was to get my taxi from Pelican travel. I was trying to ring the office( closed by then)to find new pick up point.
Our collection on the 16 th was worse. Our pick up was 5.50 am. I was awoken at 3.45 by the driver who was confused about where to pick us up. I sent him address and told him to put in Sat nav. He did come and waited patiently outside for us.
He was a pleasant young man but obviously immature and not fully informed.

“Always use holiday taxis and never an issue,I noticed they were using a company I had not heard of before, Blue Holidays, Never again! Very rude driver, drove far too fast and pick up time was ridiculously early,I got the impression he was in a rush to pick people up from the airport”
“Only waited 20 minutes before we left the airport. The driver was very courteous and polite. Travelled wirh holiday taxis before and pleased with the transfer.”
“I have used Holiay Taxis for a number of years but I have never experienced such a bad experience as I did this time, my friend and I were petrified in car. From start to finish the pick up at airport was dreadful, as we just could not find a desk, another person at another desk told us it is always the same and he helps out on many occasions. The lady arrived and took us to a small car with no air con on (2 of us and another 2) my friend had to sit in the middle of the back seat . The young lady drove at a horrendous speed (90 mosf the way). In Praia da Luz she did not have a clue where to drop us off, luckily I knew Praia da Luz so just said "just drop us off here" which was quite away from where she should have dropped us off, it was a hot day and we had to walk with our suitcases a long way. We are both elderly 78 and 88 and we arrived very stressed. Never again, unless Holiday Taxis up their game.”
“We waited over an hour for our private car. It required two phone calls asking where our transport was. There was no one at the designated meeting spot with our name.”
“Generell war ich zufrieden, allerdings werde ich Holiday Taxis nicht mehr wählen, da der Rücktransfer vom Hotel zum Flughafen immer und jedesmal(!!!) viel zu früh erfolgt und zwar so frühzeitig, daß ich meist schon mindest. 3 1/2 Std vor Abflug am Flughafen bin. Da ich erst 1 Std vor Abflug einchecken kann, ist das verschenkte Zeit.”
“Pick up and return all on time the driver were plesent but return driver didn't speak English. Also pick up from airport was a mini bus and not a car as requested. Overall I would happily recommend.”
“Arrived earlier than expected which was a first for Turkey. Driver very helpful with cases. Bus was comfortable and clean and good aircon. Made good time to the airport.”
