Have posted a question but wondering how much traffic the site gets and if there will be any answers especially as one of the questions was regarding information on this site which may or may not be factual.

I was desperate for advice about what to do regarding storm damage to my home, having already been in touch with my insurance company and been through the process of getting roof repairs done. However, there's additional damage caused by the fact that the roofers had to stop-start the work, due to further storms etc. etc., so my loft was open to the elements. The roofers should have ensured that the gaps in the roof were tempoarily sealed. They are, of course, trying to avoid taking any responsibility. Not having anyone to turn to for help for theses added complications, I thought I'd search online for free, independent advice-givng resources and alighted upon this one, which I found very reassuring indeed - just knowing that it exists, although I'm not sure yet what my next step needs to be, without going down the legal route, which I'd prefer to avoid.

to answer the question I did find the information useful as a first-time buyer, who had never heard of this form it was very informative.

A good clear explanation of the complex present lease situation for leaseholders is given. The balance of probability of various changes expected (or not!) is well explained.

Thank you Ian! I'll pass your comments back to our team. Leasehold reform is a tricky and complicated area and we try our best to present factual information in a clear and concise manner. We have our fingers and toes crossed that the leasehold bill will pass, which will mean cheaper leasehold extensions. Paula
