very informative and down to earth

Brilliant information on a really wide range of topics. I've docked a star as they once did something about plastic grass as a positive. Other readers objected too, so hopefully they've wised up by now to how deadly it is! Overall an invaluable range of topics and inside information, plus tools for finding loads of services you never even knew existed.

Looking at relevant law regarding covenants and insurance - set my mind at ease knowing that you can imdemnify yourself against a breach of covenant by a former owner - e.g fence height over stipulated height specified under the covenants that have clearly been breached years before.

It was helpful to find out information about what stamp duty I might have to pay with regard to receiving trust to a house after a relative died.

The Home Owners Alliance free newsletter provides some useful information not always easily available elsewhere. However articles usually end guiding readers towards professional or semi professional services. It would therefore be interesting to have an article clarifying the statutory sources of what makes a home produced document not legally binding but makes the same/similar document prepared by a professional legally binding and indeed, given the discretion some judges seem to have, a definition of "legally binding". Imho the law and legal safeguards regarding property, assets, procedures etc should be open and clearly available to everyone to use/ operate within, without undue difficulty and not reserved only to clients buying professional services
